Chapter 11: 'The event.'

"Who are you going with at the ball tonight?"

I choked on my chocolate.

Quickly swallowing, I said the first thing that came in my mind.

"Which ball?" I said acting all innocence.

He made a face and-

And ran his hand through his hair.

Fuuuccckkk.

I get turned on when guys do thaaaaattt.

I closed my eyes and took deep breaths.

He tapped me on the shoulder.

"Liana?" He said softly.

Breathe.

I took a deeeeeep breath and stepped out of the car.

I needed fresh air. It was hot in there.

I wiped the chocolate on my mouth with the tissue in my hand and made my way to the front of the car and sat up.

He didn't come after me for a minute but after a moment he came and sat beside me silently.

He had a far away look in his eyes.

"Why did you come out of the car?" He whispered in the oddest manner.

"I-it was hot in there," I replied, half-stuttering.

He turned to me and smirked.

"And why do you think it was hot? The AC was working perfectly fine,"

"Um, no, you didn't start the car," I stated the obvious.

His smirk faltered.

"Yeah, but I'm hot that's why you were feeling hot, ain't that it?"

I fake-groaned.

Shut up! I chastised my brain and heart.

"N-no, you're n-n-not," It was quite hard to lie in front of him.

I don't know why.

"Oh c'mon, admit it, I don't bite," He said in the most cockiest way.

"Uhm, the event?" I quickly tried to change the topic, although it was the stupidest change of topic.

"Yes, who is accompanying you at the event tonight?"

"Which event?" I repeated.

"Although you're an extremely bad liar, I'll still tell you. The event  is tonight for blind children's charity and you're the chief guest there as you donated the most there,"

"Ohhhhhhhhh," I made a long noise of ohhh.

Innocent.

"Uhhhm, yes, I completely forgot that, I haven't even selected the dress," I fake gasped.

I almost quickly ran and sat inside the car. He came right after me.

"I have another question," he said.
