I was laying in your arms
You smiled and laughed
And kissed me
But there were raindrops
Falling against the window
Behind your headAnd
When I said "I love you"
It was a lie
Terrifying
Because of the truth
Hidden beneath
Your smileAnd
Later in the train
I tried to cry
But I failed
And the rain
Did not reach
The drought insideBut
There is something beautiful
In every broken heart
In every tear of despair
So keep this lie close
My love
And close your eyes
