1.3 Saving the Twins

Kit POV

Where are they? "Page Doctors Beam and Pha again"

"Yes Doctor"

"Need more laps pads" he's not bleeding a lot just have to make sure it stays that way. I can see the girl in the other room crying asking for her brother. "Nurse go to the little girl in trauma 1 and calm her down."

"Yes doctor" 

"Where the hell is Cardio?!"

"I'm here" Beam walks in puffing and Pha is right behind him.

"If it wasn't for the kids I would" I bite my tongue because now is not the time. "Beam, need you here child age 6 he was trapped under some concrete, took an injury to the side of his body complaint of chess pains" Beam walks to the boy and starts examining his chest "Pha there's a little girl in trauma 2 her name is Sandee, age 6 vitals have been stable, but took injury to the head" he's about to leave "Pha, she is going to be asking about her brother."

"Who's her brother?"

"You're looking at him" I look at both Beam and Pha, then we get back to work.

Pha

Going to trauma 2 quickly one because there is a patient and two Kit looks cranky already for us being late. I walked in and see the most adorable little girl with puppy eyes. I can see she has been crying. She seems covered in lots of dust and continuously coughing.

"Why isn't she wearing a mask" 

"She doesn't let us put it on," the nurse tells me.

"Where is (Cough) my brother (cough)" I try to put the mask on her but she kept blocking me " (cough) I want to see (cough) my brother" she seems like a stubborn child reminds me of someone I knew.

"Okay miss what's your name"

"Sandee (cough) with two e's no y" that's cute.

"Okay, I heard you have a brother, right?" she nods. " okay first you need to put this mask on then I will tell you what you want to hear, okay" she nods and lets me put the mask on. "Now take deep breaths" she dose "good now give me five more big ones" her breath is calming down, not coughing, her vitals have stable completely, her tears have stopped,  "Now Sandee, I need you to follow the light with your eyes," she does "now touch my finger with your yours" she's doing fine her breathing has completely calmed down, "okay that's good, everything checks out but need to make sure" I look at the nurse "order for a C.T."

"Yes doctor"

"Now Sandee, your brother when he got here he had some big injuries that the doctors are still checking, you see over there" I point to Kit and Beam "those two doctors are my best friends and they're good at what they do and their going to do everything they can to help your brother, do you believe me" she looks at me in the eyes and nods. I grabbed a towel and begin wiping her face trying to clean some of the dust off "you know what people use to call me and my friends, they called us the Doctor Gang" she then gives me a confused look but lets out a smile. "See now that's better, as long as you keep smiling your brother can feel it will help him." The next thing I hear Beam yelling for me.

Beam

"If it wasn't for the kids I would" he's mad "Beam need you here child age 6 he was trapped under some concrete, took an injury to the side of his body complaint of chess pains" I walk to the boy and start examining his chest "Pha theirs a little girl in trauma 2 her name is Sandee, age 6 have been vitals stable, but took injury to the head" Kit tells Pha and he's about to leave "Pha, she is going to be asking about her brother."

"Who's her brother?"

"You're looking at him" Kit then looks at both Pha and me, then we get back to work. I begin to check the chest, his lungs sound fine, heart beating steady. Right now he's stable but we need to get into an O.R. before he starts dropping. Then the little boy starts speaking, asking for his sister.

"Where's my sister, where's Sandee?" he starting to panic.

Kit begins to speak to him "Godt right, your sister her name is Sandee right?" he nods. "Okay I'm Dr.Kit and your sister getting checked by a doctor, and that doctor is my friend and he's good at his job so your sister is in safe hands okay" he looks at me "and this is Dr.Beam another one of my friends and he's good at what he does too. So I need you to stay calm okay, can you do that for me?" he nods and smiles. 

"Do you remember what happen?"

"There was a loud sound uncle told us to run we did we Sandee trip, I helped her up but we felt the ground moving and the pillar next to us was about to fall then, how's my sister is she going to be fine?"

"Your sister looks fine once Dr.Pha finishes checking on her we will ask him right now Kit and I need you calm okay."

"Okay"

"How are you doing Kit?"

"There seems to be a lot of venous blood in the upper chest, the lac extends deep into the liver" Kit explains.

"Let me try to establish vascular control" Kit was able to get control of the bleeding. Then the machines start to beep, his vitals start dropping, what is it? I look at him and notice he's not conscious anymore, he's not breathing right. I look at his eyes pupil look dilated. "Pha!" he comes running in.

"What is it?"

"His vitals went unstable, he lost consciousness, and his pupils look dilated"

"Pha we need to hurry he's starting to hemorrhage" Kit says, then yells out to the nurse  "Order for an O.R. to be ready. Pha how is it?"

"He's got a depresses skull fracture. He's going to need a C.T."

"Okay let's move" I and Kit grab the rails and start moving towards the elevator then we hear a little girl scream. We turn to see it's the boy's sister running away from the nurse and towards Pha.

"Where are you taking my brother?!" Pha then kneels down to her and tells her.

"Sandee you need to relax okay and stay calm. Your brother needs to be moved so the doctors can help him better okay"

"He's going to die" she starts crying. Pha stays quiet "he's going to die and it's going to be my fault" she starts bawling in tears. The elevator doors open Kit and I go in then we call Pha. He looks at us then looks back at the little girl. 

"Do you trust me?" he asks the little and she looks at him in his eyes " do you believe that I and my friends will do everything for brother" her tears start settling down.

"Pha we have to go" Kit yells.

"Here I want you to hold onto this for me" he gives her his scope. He places it in her ears. "You hear this, it's your heartbeat, and its the same heartbeat your brother has so when you start feeling sad and missing your brother just put this near your heart and think about your brother okay" her tears start going away "do you remeber what I told you about my freinds and I?"

"Yes," she says. Then she looks at me and Kit then back to Pha "the three of you are the Doctor Gang and your all good at your job" she stops crying and looks at me and Kit again "take care of my brother or I will send my uncles at you" she gives us a smile.

"Yes!" Kit and I say at the same time. She might be a little girl but she looks fierce. We then see Dr.Peter and Kat with nurse Beth. They ran to the girl and call her "Sandee!" she turns and hugs Peter tight. 

Pha gets inside the elevator, before the doors close Pha tells Peter she needs a C.T. and we head up to the O.R.
