Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 5: Tʜᴇ Sᴛʀᴏɴɢᴇsᴛ Tᴇᴀᴍ

I hummed a random tune while I skipped towards the guild hall. Waving and greeting the different people in the area.

"You're gonna fall in one of these days!" The boatman shouted.

"I'm not~" I assured hopping off the brick boarder next to the stream.

I continued my short trek to the guild, swinging opening the doors and greeting the guild members that were present.

"Good morning!" I greeted Mira at the bar.

"Heya Lucy, can I get you anything?" She smiled.

"The usual if you don't mind," I answered, sliding some money for the drink.

"Coming right up!" She chirped, going into the back to work her magic.

The guild was far less rowdy than usual. No morning brawls just everyone enjoying one anothers company. The back door creaked as Natsu quietly walked in and went to his usual table and Happy flew over to the bar with me.

"Heya Lushee!" He exclaimed, landing on top of my head.

"Hi Happy, what are you up to?" I asked.

"Nothing~ We came 'cause we heard Erza would be coming back today!" Happy explained.

"Really! I've always wanted to meet her!" I fangirled.

"Well today's the day, Erza should be on the train as we speak," Mirajane chimed in, placing my milkshake on the table.

The noise behind me started to pick up as the members began to fuss over a reason unknown to me. And very quickly a brawl broke out. I paid no attention as I continued to chat with Happy and Mirajane while I finished my milkshake. I thanked Mira and began to walk over to Natsu's table in the corner, when a chair crashed into the back of me almost sending me tumbling across the floor, if I hadn't stopped myself. The brawl quieted down slightly as some of the more nosy members turned to look at me.

"Who. Threw. That?" I asked my fingers twitching, as I looked over my shoulder at the rowdy crowd.

All fingers, some subtly and others obviously, pointed to Gray, "Yea, so what? You can't lay a finger on me, Flamebrain!"

"Oh we'll see about that, Ice Princess!" I shouted.

The brawl started back with me fighting Gray and anyone else who got in the way. Our fight was short-lived as both doors swung open. Everyone paused as we faced the entrance. Metal clicked as they walked into the guild, my eyes widening with excitement as I realized who the mysterious person.

"I've heard a lot of things while away, less good ones than I'd like," their commanding voice rang through out the guild.

I watched in awe as she told off on everyone.

"Erza, glad to see you made it back safe!" Mirajane exclaimed.

"As well to you, Mirajane," she spoke so formally, it reminded me of my earlier life, "and who might you be?"

"Oh? I'm Lucy, a new member of the guild," I introduced myself, "It's an honor to get to meet you!"

"Ah- I'm not all that special," she chuckled.
