Chapter 8: I Can Do This!

Denki's Pov

I seeked help from Mashirao, he did help me a lot. But I still can't tell her.

How will I do this tho? Should I do it so fast? Maybe.

I didn't know what to do until someone tapped my shoulder.

It was Shoto, he still looks serious.

"Just tell her how you feel, you can do it." Todoroki said.

I took a deep breath.

"I can do this!"

Kyoka's Pov

Denki has been acting really weird lately.

I was confused about this, he doesn't really act like this before.

He's always nervous and he always stutters.

It was weird, I know him as a cheeful, confident, and funny guy.

Now he's like this, why tho?

I wanna know why he's acting like this.

I went to Eijiro to ask him about Denki.

"Have you noticed that Denki has been acting really different lately?" I asked.

"Hmm, yeah. You noticed too?" He answered.

"Yeah, that's why I'm asking."

"Well, I don't know the reason if you were gonna ask." Eijiro said.

"Oh, thanks I guess." I said as I walked away.

I will try to ask Denki if he's ok.

Eijiro's Pov

"That was a nice lie Eijiro." Toru said.

"Did I do good?" I asked.

"Yes!" Hanta said.

We all laughed.

"Let's keep observing." Mina said.

"By the way, they already suspect Toru." I said.

"Right." Hanta replied.

"Let's be careful next time." I said.

They all agreed to me as we planned our next move.

Denki's Pov

I was trying to practice the things I'm gonna say when someone spoke behind me.

Luckily it was Izuku.

"What are you doing here Denki?" He asked.

"Oh, nothing." I said.

"You sure?" He asked.

"Yes, I'm sure." I replied.

I can tell I was blushing since I was still thinking of what to say.

"You like someone, don't you?" Izuku said.

"Uhhh....yeah." I replied, I trust Izuku in these situations.
"Who is it?" Izuku asked.

"W-well it's K-kyoka." I said, stuttering.

"Oh, that's nice. I usually see you two together." Izuku said.

"You do?" I asked.

He nodded as he laughed.

"I'm not a stalker, I promise." He said.

"I trust you." I replied.

"Good luck Denki!" He said as he walked away, going to Ochaco and Tenya.

I then went back to our room, and yes, Kyoka was there.

She was listening to music while scrolling through her phone.

"Hey Denki!" She said happily.

I waved my hand while smiling.

"Can we do something? Like hanging out." I said.

"Hmm sure, I've got nothing better to do." Kyoka said as she removed her earphones.

"That's good!" I said.

She smiled as she put her phone in her pocket.

"This is my chance, I promise I won't fail you Mashirao!"

We went outside and walked, going near the waterfalls.

"This place is amazing!" Kyoka said while her mouth was wide open.

I kept my eyes locked on her, but she looked at me.

"What's the matter Denki?" She asked, I blushed.

"Eh, nothing." I said as I looked away.

"Really?" She teased.

I nodded.

I took a deep breath and remembered what Mashirao said.

"Hey Kyoka." I said.

She looked at me. "What is it?"
"I've got something to tell you." I said.

"Sure, tell me." She said.

I gulped as our eyes were looking at each other.

This is my chance and I promised I won't fail.

"Here goes nothing."
