Chapter 9: Wrong Timing

Kyoka's Pov

Denki was looking nervous right ib front of me.

I tilted my head, waiting for him to speak.

I could see him take a deep breath.

He finally spoke.

"I li-" He got cut of by an alarm coming from the house's direction.

"That was a really bad timing, I wanna hear what he wants to say." I thought as we ran, going to the house.

We arrived there, the house was on fire.

"What happened?" I asked.

"We were playing Truth or Dare then we dared Todoroki about his fire quirk, then there." Sero said.

"All of this just for that? They're so stupid."

"Sorry Aizawa-sensei." Todoroki said, apologizing.

Mr. Aizawa didn't even answer.

He then started to count the class.

"19?" He said.

"Where's Mashirao?" Toru asked.

"Oh no!" Denki said as he ran, going to the house.

"Hey, where are you two going?" Aizawa-sensei said but I didn't stop running.

I grabbed his wrist before he could come in.

To be honest, I kinda liked him, I just make fun of him since I'm bored.

"Don't." I said.

"But Mashirao is there." He said.

"Then I'll come with you." I said.

"Are you sure about that?" Denki asked.

"Yes." I said as I smiled.

"Then let's go!" He said I followed him inside.

It was really smoky inside, you could barely see a thing.

We were searching for Mashirao, until I heard a voice.

"Help me *cough* help!"

"There!" I pointed at the direction.

Me and Denki went there and saw Mashirao.

A block of wood had fallen onto his right leg that's why he can't get out.

"Don't worry, we've got you Mashirao." Denki said as he tried to lift the block of wood.

He lifted it up a bity but a piece of wood hit his hand which made him left go of the block.

"It's bleeding." I said.

"It'll be fine." Denki answered.
I sighed as he continued to lift it up.

"Need help?" I asked.

"Yeah." He said while struggling.

I inserted my ear jacks into the wood and made a huge crack.

"I can't do it better since *cough* the smoke *cough* is getting thicker." I said.

"That's better." Denki said, lifting the wood with using the cracks on it.

He successfully lifted it up and help Mashirao to stand up we helped him walk since his leg was wounded and it was bleeding a lot.

We were almost out of the house when a long block of wood fell onto us.

It hit my left arm, I felt it bleeding.

"Great, now all of us are bleeding."

"We'll be alright Kyoka." Denki said.

I nodded.

We started walking again, he opened the door and we came out of the house.

"There you are where were you two, Aizawa-sensei was finding you two!" Tenya said.

"Relax pres, we're fine." I said.

"Fine? You guys got some wounds!" He said while he moves his hands like crazy, he's really hyper.

"Relax will you." Denki said.

"I'll call Aizawa-sensei for this." He said as he walked away.

Denki sighed as we let Mashirao sit down.

"What were you gonna say?" I asked Denki.

"I'll tell you later."

"Aww, why not now?" I asked.

"Mashirao is here, we need a private place to talk."

"O...k." I replied.

Soon, Aizawa-sensei arrived with a medical team with him.

He scolded me and Denki.

Then, the medic team patched out wounds up.

They really checked on Mashirao's, and also checked his tail for more wounds.

Even his girlfriend, Toru arrived to check on Mashirao.

I looked at Denki.

"We can talk later." I said, whispering.

He smiled and nodded.

I heard Toru laugh but I completely ignored her.

"Where are our stuff Mr. Aizawa?" Denki asked.

"They were all grabbed by Iida and Midoriya, it's all fine." Aizawa-sensei explained.

"Thank you sir." Denki replied.

(TIME SKIP)

It was night time already, we have our privacy to talk now.

Denki was talking with Tenya on how they got out stuff.

I tapped his shoulder, trying to get his attention.

"Hey Kyoka!" Denki said.

"Jirou!" Tenya greeted.

"He still calls us by our surnames?" I thought as I looked at him.

"Can we talk now Denki?" I asked.

"Oh, right. Sorry pres, gotta go talk with Kyoka." Denki said as he walked away from Tenya.

We went somewhere far from the whole class and talked there.

"You can continue what you were gonna tell me." I said.

"Hmm, sure!" He said in a cheeful tone.

"Go ahead." I said.

"Well, I don't really know if you'll return your feelings for me but, I like you." Denki said.

I was just surprised about that.

"He likes me? Oh my god!!!"

Denki's Pov

I tried so hard not to stutter.

"Finally, I did what Mashirao told me to."

"Well, I-"

"Time for dinner!" We heard Tenya call.

"Coming!" Me and Kyoka said.

"Hurry up, Todoroki cooked it!" Tenya said.

Me and Kyoka went there.

But there is one thing I'm curious about.

Does she even like me?
