3rd point of view
Gerald and Yasmin planned a small ceremony/funeral for Alex. Anastasia or Ayla didn't want to speak since it was to much for them. Gerald invite every person who was friends with Alex

Maggie came but she wasn't impressed. Landon went just to pay his respects to Alex. "Not even for my sister he couldn't do this right." Maggie told Landon "at least they had the kindness to invite us."
"Maggie chill this is your sisters funeral. They wanted to do it small."
"So, I lost my sister for his fault."
"No it didn't happen that way. Whatever happened she shouldn't happened." That's when they both seen Gerald, Yasmin, Ayla and Anastasia. Matt couldn't go since it was to hard for him.

The ceremony was more respectful than usual. That's when the quiet vanished. Jace's mother came. She was glad that Alex was gone so she can take Anastasia with her. Maggie step in. She yelled saying that neither her or Gerald were taking Anastasia but her. "That's it! Margot I thought you were better than this! Really doing it at my mothers funeral! You never cared about us!" Ayla yelled in pain
"I did. I always did cared about you, Stassie and my sister." Maggie cried "don't ever say that to me"
"If you did cared about me and my sister you would understand that we both lived a terrible life in Australia. why did you leave pissed off when my father went to go pick us up from the hospital when I was four and my sister just a baby? We can't be apart from each other. My father is there for us taking care of us."
"No she's coming with me. That's my daughter." Jace's mother yelled. She tried to grab Anastasia from her arm.
"ENOUGH! Nobody here is leaving with my daughters! I promised Alex that I would be there for them. And if you guys really want to test me let's go to court and we'll see who gets the custody of my daughter!" Gerald yelled.

Everyone was quiet. Jace's mother, Maggie and Landon left the ceremony. He looked at the girls as Yasmin was hugging them. "I'm not letting them from separating you both not from my watch. That means you Stassie and Ayla you both have to say everything of what happened in Australia. I know this hurt but you have to."
"Okay." Anastasia said and Ayla nodded
"I know this is a lot for you both. I promise I won't let this happen." Gerald told them

Jace's mother knew Alex past away so it was a chance to take Anastasia home with her. Maggie wanted to take the custody from Gerald. But he wasn't going to let that happen. He took both Maggie and Jace's mother to court.

He wasn't going to let anyone take Anastasia away from him. That's the one thing he promised Alex.
