A/N: you guys deserve some fluff
[Calum.]
Later that evening, I was mulling things over in my head. How was it that there were so many things that I didn't know? I didn't know about Jake, I didn't know about Luke's mum, I didn't know about anything. It was my fault for not caring, I guess, but I felt bad. I wanted to know things. I wanted to be in the loop and I wanted to know how to react when Luke tells me things like "we ran into Jake today!".
However, wanting to know and actually knowing were two completely different things.
Which is why I now had Taylor sat down in front of me, ready to tell me everything I needed - and wanted - to know.
"I don't know why you're asking me this stuff," she huffed, crossing her arms as she leaned back on my desk chair. "I can't tell you everything."
"But you can start with one," I nodded, sitting on the edge of my bed, in front of her. "Tell me the Jake story."
"Luke said he already told you the whole thing," she answered, vaguely annoyed.
"No, I mean, what happened today?"
She gave me a skeptical look, but answered my question. "Okay, well, we ran into him, I snapped at him for still being a stalker and shit, and then he claimed that he still 'loved' one of us. Probably Luke, to be honest, but I flipped him off."
My eyes slitted as I thought of this person claiming to love Luke. No, I loved Luke. I loved him enough for him to not need any stalker exes - or almost exes. I loved him more than anyone could ever love him... Except maybe Taylor, but I should hope that's a different kind of love.
"I wanna do something special for Luke," I announced suddenly.
Taylor raised an eyebrow. "Okay... What do you have in mind?"
"The aquarium," I suggested, and the look on her face showed me that I had hit the jackpot.

I barged into Luke and Taylor's room on Friday, not even bothering to knock: I knew only Luke was in there, since Taylor was at her friend Lisa's place for the night. I found him sitting on his bed, his laptop in front of him and headphones in, completely oblivious to his surroundings. I rolled my eyes as I approached him, and tapped on his shoulder, causing him to scream in surprise.
"Don't do that!" he scolded, taking off his headphones as I doubled over in laughter. He put a hand to his heart, shaking his head. He opened his mouth to say something, but he must've changed his mind midway because the words that left his mouth had nothing to do with the situation. "You look really good today, Cal."
I grinned, extending my hand to pull him up. "Thanks, so do you..." I smiled, kissing his lips softly. "But you look good everyday, so I guess that's just redundant."
He blushed, hiding his face in the crook of my neck. "No, I mean that shirt looks really good on you... But you know what I think?"
"No, what?" I asked, amused and intrigued to see where this was going.
The next words he mumbled took a complete turn, this time surprising me. "I think," he started, walking his fingers up my clothed chest. "That it would probably look better on the floor."
My eyes widened, and I had to choke back any involuntary noises I wanted to make as he pressed a single kiss to my neck. I honestly didn't know he had it in him.
"Luke, not right now," I mumbled, placing my hands on his hips to push him away, but you could feel the reluctance in my touch. "I've got something else in mind."
