[Luke.]
"Wait, Cameron?"
"Woah. Luke?"
I nodded, my eyes still wide, and the brown haired boy in front of me broke out into a grin. "Hey! Wow, long time no see!"
"Yeah!" I nodded, snapping out of my trance and putting on a smile again. "Yeah, it's been a while."
"How are you doing?" he asked, his tone as friendly as always.
"I'm good! Lots of ups and downs but I've been good," I nodded. "How about you?"
"I've been pretty good too," he smiled, before gesturing to the CD he was holding. "I was just wondering if you guys had another copy of this."
I took the CD from him, seeing that it was Symphony Soldier by The Cab. Nodding, I looked back up at him. "Yeah, let me go check the store room. Wait here?"
"Sure," he nodded, shoving his hands into his pockets.
I walked over to the small room right at the back of the shop where we kept a lot of the extra CDs we had in stock. While searching through the boxes, I thought about what had just happened. It was completely random that we run into each other like this, but then again random wasn't exactly unnatural in my case.
I easily found a second copy of the CD, pulling it out of the box and taking the two back to him.
"Thanks!" He grinned.
"Why do you need two copies?" I asked, curious as to what he was going to do with them.
"I'm going to give one to... Someone," he blushed, and I grinned.
"Someone?" I asked, wiggling my eyebrows.
"Yeah," he answered sheepishly. "I know he likes The Cab and he keeps complaining that-"
The little bell above the shop door jingled, interrupting his sentence for a second. "Yeah, he keeps complaining that he doesn't have this CD so I'm going to get it for him."
"That's really nice of you," I smiled, about to say something else when an arm slipped around my waist. I looked over to see Calum smiling, who in turn kissed my cheek.
"Hey you," I smiled before turning back to Cameron. "Um, Cameron, this is my boyfriend Calum."
"Nice to meet you!" Cameron smiled, extending a hand to Calum.
Calum, however, didn't respond until I jabbed him in the ribs with my elbow discreetly. And even then, all he mumbled was a sarcastic, "Yeah, same," with a firm handshake. "Lukey, when's your break?"
"Not for another half hour."
"Oh, okay. Um, I'll be around, I guess."
"Okay."
And without another word, he left. I rolled my eyes, and Cameron chuckled. "I'm going to assume he knows who I am."
"Yeah," I answered, scratching the back of my neck. "He knows Jake, too."
Cameron clenched his jaw, looking away. "Ah, yeah. Him."
"Yeah, well, um... Do you want me to check those out for you now or are you still looking around?"
"I'll just look around for a bit longer, if that's alright..."
"Sure," I smiled, and he grinned. "Just let me know when you're done."
