The drive to school was abnormally silent. Usually, Leci would talk her head off to her mother before getting out the car; now, however, she only stared out the window, mind racing as the school grew closer and closer until her mother pulled up in front on the campus. The blonde grabbed her backpack, but not before bidding farewell with a small smile and a 'Love You'. When said action was reciprocated, she drove off, leaving Leci to stand in front of the school. She began her walk towards the building, gripping the strap of her backpack tightly, a frown displayed on her freckled face. Before she could open the doors, she heard someone call out her name. She turned around, and saw a boy run towards her with a smile and a wave. He was around her age, but taller than her. He had beige skin, short raven black hair, vibrant forest green eyes that glistened in the sunlight, and had a bright smile on his face. He wore a white short sleeve shirt that was under a blue letterman jacket, black jeans and sneakers. "Hey Henry!" She greeted, her frown quickly replaced with a smile. He soon caught up to her, readjusting his backpack as he spoke. "I tried calling you last night to talk about our plans to hangout this weekend! How come you didn't pick up?" His pout at the end made Leci chuckle, and rubbed the back of her neck as a sheepish look grew on her face. "Sorry about that. Uh... A lot of stuff happened last night, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it." The boy blinked, and tilted his head slightly to the left. "What happened? Must have been quite something if you never picked up my calls."

Oh it's definitely something, alright...

Before she could speak, the bell rang, indicating that the first class of the day was about to begin. Henry and Leci looked at each other before she patted his shoulder. "I'll tell you at break. Okay?" He nodded, and the two made their way to class. The blonde's frown soon returned when she sat down behind him, and looked down at the desk before sighing and taking out her books.

"Class was an absolute drag! I rather get a bucketful of homework than hear Mr.Damocles talk about his love life!"

"Be careful what you wish for. It just might happen."

The two met up at the courtyard for break. Everyone from the lower grades and up went to said location and either sat at on the table, talking each other's head off or sat by the large fountain in the middle of the courtyard. Leci and Henry leaned against a large oak tree, shaded from the sun's light. He took out a bag of chips whilst she took out a small snack cake, and the two began an exchange: He gave her some chips and she gave him half of her snack. "It's been a while since you had a strawberry shortcake. Aren't these your favorite?" He asked, taking a bite of the piece of said snack. "Yep! One of my top favorites besides Honey Buns and Swiss Rolls! So be thankful I'm sharing one of my favorite snacks with you!" A small "Aww" left the boy's lips and he gave her a teasing smile as he leaned towards her. "I'm so special!" This caused Leci to snort and push him away and roll her eyes. "Your special and my special are two completely different things, my guy!" She laughed. "But yeah, you are special. You're my best friend, after all!" Henry smiled, finishing the rest of the snack cake before beginning on the chips. He was about to speak to her until he noticed something: Leci didn't really touch her food. She only stared at it with a frown, before turning to glance at him. "Something on your mind, Leci?" The blonde gulped, sighing as she turned towards him. "Actually, there is..." He leans up from the tree, completely facing her with a concerned expression. "What's up?" His question made her stay silent for a minute, but with a deep breath, she began to explain.
