3rd Person POV:

It's been a few hours since Leci left the house, and as much as Amelia wanted to trust that she'll be okay exploring the city, she couldn't help but feel anxious.

Leci was fifteen, yes, but she was naive on some things. A lot of people took advantage of her back in California because of that.

But maybe this could help her!

Amelia sighed, hoping that the last thought could help calm her nerves, but even if it did in the slightest, the feeling of her stomach churning never went away; if anything, it actually grew! That wasn't a good sign, not in the slightest! She lets out an irritated-filled groan, glaring hard at her hands as she clutched the sheets of her bed. I don't like this feeling. Not a single bit. She thought with a frown. She walked out of her room, and was about to head into the kitchen until an alarm came from her phone. Her body reacted faster than she thought, grabbing it with haste from her back pocket and unlocking it.

The newscast was live, and she wouldn't have paid much mind to it if it weren't for the headline, along with Leci's out and about in the city.

'Breaking News: The sludge villain has taken a hostage!

Amelia clicked fast onto it, and watched it with wide eyes. The villain was in some kind of shopping district, surrounded by fire and had itself wrapped around something.

Something-no, someone that strongly resembled her daughter.

"LET GO OF ME!"

The feeling in her stomach now made her sick, and that's when her worst fear came to life: She squinted hard at the screen of her phone after hearing their voice, and just as she was about to assume it wasn't who she thought it was, they screamed again, trying to rip themselves away from the villain as large bursts of energy shot out its body.

They were desperate, screaming, and managed to free one of their arms from its grasp.

It was Leci.

She dropped her phone, and without a second thought, ran out of the house. Her heart was beating hard and fast, swear dripping down her face as she ran. Where are they?! She thought. WHERE COULD  COULD THEY BE?!! Amelia, out of desperation, began to apparate throughout the city.

She constantly appeared in random places due to her mind racing; with her quirk, it was difficult to control it when she felt negative emotions, even more when she doesn't know the exact location.

She was desperate, and any parent would understand her situation if their child was in serious danger.

She soon stopped her movements at the sound of a siren. Amelia looked towards the source, and saw smoke.

She wasted no time running towards it.

Leci's POV:

I could barely breathe.

The smoke around the villain and I entered my lungs; despite struggling and shooting out energy, I could feel myself get weaker by the minute. My arms were still numb, but I was stubborn, and kept on. I could hear the villain speak, but I couldn't hear what he was saying. It didn't matter to me, though.

I had to keep fighting. Try to, at least.

The slime went into my mouth, and the moment it did, I wanted nothing more than to throw up; I gagged, feeling incredibly sick at the feeling of the slime. Not only did I feel sick, I was feeling violated. This villain was taking his time with me, and knowing this honestly wasn't the scary part.
