Passion is like the neon lights
The only illumination on cold winter evenings
Reminds me of raindrops on the road
Misty street lamps casting silhouettes on the way home
Soft leaves, autumn hazePassion is like the rose carved from garnet, the moonlight, shining pearls
Entangled by, trapped, immersed within the copper thorns
Glinting that bitter December night
Takes me back to when the hail rusted the thorns
Now, this cool October evening they're nothing more than damp decayPassion is like the stars in the empty sky
Fairy lights decorating the delicate September night
Makes me think of fireworks exploding light against
November's silent black
It's like sparklers and bonfires
When there's been no sunlight in daysPassion is the single flickering flame
That can set the world alightLD x ~ 16/10/19
