Thirteen.

Up in my room, I apply the finishing touches to my concert outfit, and I'm ready. I glance at myself one last time in the mirror. my shoulder length auburn hair falling in loose curls around my face, still warm from the curling iron. My honey brown eyes stand out thanks to a little eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara. I smile, I can't wait for Ashton to get here. I'm really excited for tonight's concert. It is a little sad though, because it's our last night with the boys before they go home. In the morning, they're going to leave for Sydney.

My phone vibrates, so I check it before I go downstairs.

Ever since I told Ashton how I felt yesterday, I've had this huge, dorky smile glued to my face. It's still glued there as I skip down the stairs, and into the entryway. I start to put on my shoes and coat, knowing Ashton will be here soon, and my parents appear in the doorframe.

"We'll see you later, Sadie. Have fun tonight! We love you," Mom says with a smile.

I walk over and embrace both of them in a group hug, "I love you too." I hear a car in the driveway, and then there's a knock at the door. I open the door and find Ashton standing on the front porch, grinning. "Hi Ashton!" I say with my big smile, wrapping my arms around him.

He laughs, his dimples deepening, and hugs me back, "Hi Sadie!"

"Let's go!" I say, "bye Mom, bye Dad," I say for the last time.

"Bye Sadie!" They reply. Ashton holds the door for me as I walk out of it. When get to the car, in the driver's seat of which Calum is waiting for us, Ashton opens the back door for me, and helps me in like a gentleman. He climbs in next to me, leaving the passenger's seat empty for Madi.

"I'm so excited for the concert, and I'm not sure why," I say, breaking the silence.

"I know!" Ashton agrees, "I'm really excited since it's the last show, and I get to hang out with you, but I'm also kind of sad because I have to leave you tomorrow." He frowns when he says the last part, and puts his arm around me and pulls me closer to him.

"Same," says Calum, looking at us in the rearview mirror, "It's going to be a happy and sad day for all."

"But don't worry, we'll make the most of it," Ashton says reassuringly, and I don't know if he's trying to make me feel better or himself.

"Yeah, we've got one more day together, let's make it a good day," I agree with him in an enthusiastic voice.

"And we can start right now!" Ashton agrees with a grin, his dimples appearing in his cheeks. I'm about to ask him what he means, but his lips are on mine before I can even open my mouth. I kiss him back, involuntarily smiling in the midst of the kiss. Who knows how long we would've kissed if it hadn't been for Calum.

"Jesus Christ, come up for air before you die from a lack of oxygen! My eyes are burning, and on top of that, I think I just threw up in my mouth!" Calum says loudly, grinning. Ashton and I pull apart, and find that we're pulling into Madi's driveway. He puts the car in park, and then turns around to face us, "I'm wondering if I should leave you two alone in here while I go collect Madi. It seems like a bad idea."
