Chapter 2: Rude Awakening

Zim's head was throbbing when he sat up. He rubbed his head as he looked around the room. He felt his head then felt something on his head "Hmm?" He touched it to realize his head and antenna were taken care of. He looked around noticing he was on what seemed to be an odd-shaped fluff box. Zim looked noticing what he knew was a computer resting on a desk covered in files and coffee cups. Then the ceiling of the tiny room covered in fake stars that glowed strong. To his right a window but it seemed to be locked and he was still wondering where he was. He sat up and as he went to get up someone opened the door. The tall boy from before walks in, holding a cup of coffee. He's sipping it then freeze seeing him up. They look to each other then Zim lets out a shriek at the top of his lungs. He backs up, standing on the bed, to the far corner of the wall. Though he winced and covered his head as his head began to spin "W-Woah Woah! Be careful! You just crashed your ship, you're in no shape to move around" Zim hissed at him and stayed where he was. The boy gulped not sure of how the alien would react so he had to speak carefully and clearly. "It's okay, I don't mean to harm you. If I did I wouldn't bandage your head." Zim considered this but didn't move. The boy sighed "Right... you probably don't understand me. How the heck am I suppose to tell you I mean no harm?" Zim looked to him then carefully spook "Like that" The boy's eye went wide as they almost had stars in them "Y-You understand English?! This is fantastic!!!" Zim winced as he watched him grow a huge smile. Though he realized he was probably scaring him "S-Sorry hehe um... I'm Dib" He put his hand out as Zim looked to his hand. He then stuck out his own three-clawed hand "...Zim..."

Dib smiled then grabbed his hand happily shaking it fast "Hehe I'm so glad you didn't die! When I found you for sure I thought you were a goner!" Zim was surprised by the gesture as he thought 'must be a human greeting' He then noticed the human looking at his hand in fascinating, the glasses not hiding the admiration in the boy's eyes "Woah... your hands are so fascinating. They're like claws" He ran a finger down a talon as Zim gulped. He felt a weird feeling with seeing the human's reaction to his hand. He pulled his claws back to himself as he slowly sat back down at the bed. Dib was shocked when he pulled his hand back but smiled nonetheless. "It's a pleasure to meet you too hehe. How is your head?" Zim sits down looking to Dib before putting his hand on the bandage "Better... how long have I been asleep?" Zim grew worried, Irkens don't really sleep unless they've been under serious damage. Made him feel there is more wrong then he can tell. "Oooh? Well... for about 2 hours now. You know your species doesn't like water?" Dib sat in his chair as Zim looked to him confused "Water? What... what is that? Is it some sort of poison?!" Dib smirked then giggled a bit, which caught Zim by surprise. "Hehe no no it's nothing like that. It's well... it's H2O, We humans need it to survive. We drink it, wash using water, and it covers a good percent of our planet. Though... when I tried to clean the blood off you it made a burn mark." Dib zoned off looking away thinking of all the reasons a creature's skin would react that way to water. Zim looked to him noticing he's lost in thought. He looks around the room seeing all the photos and posters about aliens and bigfoot "Hmm... you seem to be doing research on outer space and these... big feeties. Are you a scientist of some sort?" Dib snapped out of his thoughts and turned to Zim "Wha... hehe no. My dad would love to see that though. I'm too young for any of that. I want to be a Paranormal Investigator. On this planet, Aliens are kind of... myths."

Zim was surprised as he seemed angeried "Myth?! The great Zim is no myth! How can these humans be so stupid with alien species just in the next galaxy?" Dib shrugged as he rubbed the back of his head giggling "Hehe ugh... Humans can't actually travel to the next or any galaxy. We can barely travel within our own." Zim was shocked "How can humans be so pathetic? First not traveling then they don't know of other alien species?!" Dib put his hands up to try and calm the alien down "Woah Woah Woah. Hehe, not all humans are pathetic. I really hope you don't think I'm pathetic. There are little humans that believe in Aliens but, I do!" Dib grew a big smile "To think people thought I was crazy hehe. They're gonna look so stupid once they see you" Zim looked to him shocked, his antennas going up, well as much as the damaged one could. "I don't think you're pathetic. You do seem to be more advanced than the average human...." Zim pointed a Taloned finger at him with an angered face "But I can not show myself to the human race yet!" Dib was taken back "Wha... why not?" Zim smirked, "For you see the Mighty Zim..." He stood on the best as he made a dramatic pose with a wicked smile " Is here to conquer the Earth!!" Dib was shocked looking up at Zim "W-Wha... how?" Zim froze as he looked to Dib and silently, for once, said "What?" Dib sat up "H-How? Your ship was totaled and I didn't see any equipment that was safe." Zim was silent then said "My ship!!! I forgot all about it! All of my Irken supplies, ruined!! H-How am I supposed to contact the Tallest now?! I even lost my Gir unit!!" Dib lit up and stood up "Oooh wait!"
