He got up and went to the closet, he opened the door, then pulled out a blanket. He moved to the bed as Zim sat down, sitting crisscross. Dib removed the blanket to show Gir. It was his head, his body with one arm missing, and the separate arm. Then a baggy full of bolts and wires. Dib smiled "I tried to scrap what I could. Maybe you could fix him?" Zim crawled over, looking to the bits and parts "Hmm... well... I could fix him but I don't have the tools." Dib then perked up "Oooh! We can use my dad's at-home lab. He has it for when he gets sudden ideas while at home when he is. He's not home now so we can sneak into the lab and see about fix him" Zim thought then nodded his head as he got up, being careful as he still had wounds. They picked up Gir, slowly sneaking out of the room and to the basement/lab. Once down there they laid Gir down as Dib smiled "Hehe to think, I'm gonna work with alien tech in my dad's basement. Hehe, he'd faint" Zim looked to him "I must ask, why does your parental-unit have such technology?" Dib grabbed some tools smiling "He's actually a scientist. So he hates all this alien stuff. He only calls me his 'crazy son' though I'm glad to know I'm not nuts" Zim hummed as he began working "You humans are so odd. Nothing like Irkens. Ugh to think I'm stuck on this mudball of a planet. No weapons or anything. What will become of the great Zim!?" He pulled on his nondamaged antenna nervously. Dib looked up from the tools, down to Zim curiously. The alien looked panicked, who wouldn't be left in a culture, world, planet you don't even know. Dib felt, pity and guilt for the alien "H-Hey hey. It's okay. Look you still have Gir and the ship could be fixed" He was confused as to why he was helping the alien. He just declared a couple minutes ago he wanted to take over there planet. Though he pushed that thought to the back of his mind "It's still dark outside. I could try and transport the ship. Any ideas how?" Zim thought then opened the pak on his back taking out a little leash. Dib was shocked and quickly moved behind Zim. Zim froze and looked behind him to see Dib with that same look of amazement "WOAH!! It opens up? I thought it was your brain or something! W-What else can it do?! So cool!" Zim felt his cheeks go a gentle blue, having the human praise him about such a simple thing. Every Irken has one so it was a surprise to see the Dib-human get so excited. "Um... y-yeah It can do lots of stuff. But focus Dib-human!" Zim snapped his talons, snapping Dib out of it. Dib blushed a tiny bit as he was embarrassed for geeking out over, well Zim in general. "S-Sorry, new to aliens h-hehe. So what does the leash do?" Zim held it out to Dib and pushed a button to make a large oval piece of hard plastic come out, to which it closed itself in, as it hovered there. Dibs eyes were gleaming with amazement "This is for the Voot cruiser, my ship. It'll help you transport it here. Here" Dib hands shook as he now held in his hands, alien technology. He squeed making Zim looked to him with concern.

Dib gulped then giggled "Sorry, just excited. I'm trusting you to not destroy any of my stuff space boy" Zim was surprised by the nickname. He then smirked, showing his light pink zipper teether "Hehe and I'm trusting you not to wreck my ship any more than it is, Earth boy" The two smirked to each other in an odd moment. Dib walked out of the lab, as he headed out to the park. Once Dib left, Zim was left alone to eat away at his thoughts "So... the great Zim... stuck on a dirtball. Maybe I could leave on the ship... but my mission? How can I take over the earth now? I have no base, no weapons, no tools. Plus this water stuff will kill me it seems. How can I get any of my stuff to work, let alone my plan!" Zim took his oiled gloved hands back from the inside of the robot as he thought "Hmm... maybe... Dib-human can help. He is smart, plus has a instinctive knowledge about the earth. Maybe I can use him. He is sadly smart though... that's it!" Zim grew a wicked smile "I'll trick the information out of him. Likes aliens huh? Then I shall make him fall into a fall sense of security, have him help me get my base running fully, then... I'll kill him when I no longer need him! The Tallest will be so proud of me!!" He happily hummed as he went back to working on Gir.

It only took an hour and 12 minutes for a sudden noise from above. Zim stopped working and stood there frozen. He didn't know if it was Dib or maybe, someone else. He waited until he heard the door opening and followed by "Zim? You still here? I got the ship in my garage" He came down to see a panicked Zim, who sighed with relief "Thank the tallest. I thought it was someone else" Dib came the robot fully put together, as Zim was messing with the inside of the head "The only other person it could be is my sister or my dad. My dad will be at his office all night and maybe tomorrow, my sister doesn't come down here, she'll only be in her room when she comes home from school...." Dib froze then panicked "SCHOOL!!" Zim stepped back scared as Dib began to panic "I've been up all night helping you I forgot about school! I have to get ready!"
