Once Dib left to the 'Skool' he was left to do as he pleased around the house. He headed back downstairs to see what he could do with Gir. He worked on him as much as he could. All he could really do now was wait for Gir to fully recharge. Zim wasn't the type of Irken to just lay around and goof out. In this situation doing stuff kept him from panicking. He decided to go to the only other place he could go to, Dib's room. Zim walked up to Dib's room and once in looked up at the familiar fake stars. The sun was coming up but it didn't matter as the window was high enough that no one could see him in the window. Zim got on the bed and looked out of the window, looking around the neighborhood. Noticed a couple of human children walking probably to school, a bus driving past full of screaming worm babies, and other adult humans leaving for work. "Hmm... such a weird planet, better once Irkens have control" Zim looked around and spotted the computer "Hmm... maybe I can find out more about humans without having to go to school."

Dib was having a rough day of school. It was Thursday so everyone was ready for it to be tomorrow. Staying up all night with Zim had it's toll as he kept falling asleep in class. Though at some point a teacher gave him detention for sleeping through her lecture, a lecture anyone would sleep through. He was different today. When he got the detention he took it with pride. Some were not use to seeing the usually moody and insane teen, so calm and happy. Though he was still tired, slight bags under his eyes. Even his sister noticed his odd behavior. As they both sat alone at the lunch table Gaz, for once, spoke up "So what's up with you today? You're more... annoying than usual" She opened one of her eyes to glare at him "Finally getting sent to the looney bin or something?" Dib shook his head as he happily the odd colored gruel on his plate "Nope, the opposite in fact. I got proof I'm not nuts finally" Gaz rolled her eyes and looked back to the screen "Really? Like last time?" Dib winced "this is different, this evidence is unrefutable!!" Dib spook as he held his fist in the air. Others around him were used to his random outburst about aliens or bigfoot. Gaz groaned as she went back to her game "Same as always, big head" Dib sighed and ate his food "You'll see... once he's ready" Dib whispered poking the peas on his tray. "Oooh by the way I'm gonna be home later cause I got detention. So uh... Stay out of my room please" He said scared of his sister's reaction to Zim, mostly what she'd do to him. "Whatever" She grumbled out as the bell rang signifying the end of lunch.

Gaz walked across the street alone, as other children ran out or even jumped out of windows screaming. She played on her game, use to blocking out her brother on the way home. She was glad she didn't have to today. She couldn't help but think of what Dib said during lunch. "You'll see... once he's ready" This actually got her curious "Who's 'he'? Dib has no friends so who could he possibly be talking about and what did he mean by ready? He either has finally gone fully off the deep end... or possibly has something convincing." Gaz groaned opening the door "Probably the first" She thought to herself. Normally the house would be quiet until the two siblings got home. Today it wasn't. She walked in hearing loud sounds from upstairs "Hmm?" She dug her hand into the can holding the umbrellas to show a bat hidden in it. She walked up the stairs growling "He said he had detention. Was he lying or did his nut self actually skip it? He's been acting so nuts today, time to find out why" She opened the door expecting the loud noise to be her brother looking at paranormal websites. Instead, she was greeted by a short, green alien watching youtube videos about the planet earth. Zim turned fast, not hearing Gaz over the videos, as they looked to each other, as Gaz clenched the bat.

Dib ran out of the room the second detention was over with. He pushed past people who shouted "hey!" Though he didn't stop and say sorry. He kept running, almost hit by a car once, scaring someone on a bike as well as he suddenly ran in front of them. He didn't care as he tried his hardest to make a 15-minute walk home into a sprint. He ran fast, heart-pounding, legs, and feet sore from all the running. He feared the alien having done something horrible like lay eggs, used his dad's lab to make weapons, or worse. That his sister Gaz has gotten to him first. He turned a corner seeing his house in the distance. He rushed to it, slamming the front door open as he breathed heavily. What he saw he didn't expect ever. Gaz was sitting on the couch, playing her game as Zim sat next to her watching the game. They both turned to Dib. Gaz rolled her eyes as she sighed "You break that door you're fixing it" Dib just walked over, past his sister, fully ignoring her for once. "Zim are you okay? I thought Gaz would have killed you" Zim looked up to him from the couch actually surprised by Dib's concern. Only Gir has really shown certain emotions to him. "Ooh well, she was going to until the mighty Zim explained his position to the human's sister Gaz" Zim shuffled back to the game "Then the human explained these 'video games' you humans play for entertainment. This game slave 2 intrigues me deeply, even though it doesn't make the players slaves like I thought it would." Dib gave a big sigh as he sat at the end of the couch finally relaxing "Thank goodness"

Once they got passed all of the introductions, with Gaz not really caring, Zim and Dib went to the lab. "Gir should be charged by now. If he doesn't turn on I don't know what to do" His antennas went down as he looked a little worried. Dib patted his back as they entered the lab. Gir was sitting on the table with cords going into his head, the eyes a dull grey. Zim pulled the cords out than clicked a button in Gir's head, then closed the flap to have the antenna standing up "Here goes" There was a soft whirring noise of Gir powering up, then slowly the eyes turned a light blue.
