"dur reh Nandini se" were my last words to Nilay after beating him to death almost.
Ghar jaane ka mann hi nahi kar raha hai.
It was 2 hours since I left home.
I sat in the car on a lonely highway and closed my eyes to process the information I got today.
Suddenly my phone rang.
It was Nandini.
Nahi uthane wala mein.
She should also know ki kaisa feel hota hai.
"Where are you?!
Please come home" Her message read.
"I'm sorry, please come home Manik" Came another message.
I switched my phone off and sat there more an hour more.

"Where were you" Nandini hugged me as soon as I entered our room.
I could see that she's been crying all this while.
Not Manik,
Don't let this melt you this time.
"I'm sorry, really really sorry" Nandini said hugging me even tighter.
"Hmm" I replied removing her hands that were wrapped around me.
"Aapne messages ka bhi reply nahi kiya,calls bhi answer nahi kiye where were you" She asked.
"Kyun stressed thi,darr gyi thi?!" I asked going near her.
"Obviously Manik" She said and fresh tears flowed into her eyes.
"Bus,aesa hi huaa tha mujhe Nandini,
Jaan nikal jati hai jab hum jisse pyaar karte ho woh hume bina bataye chale jaye" I said and she looked down crying.
"Manik" She called me crying as I went to the washroom to change clothes without looking at her.
I came out after good 15 minutes and saw Nandini sleeping on the couch in sitting position.
"Nandini" I whispered ruffling her hair.
"Go sleep on the bed" I added.
"Sorry" She said holding my hand.
"Hmm" I said and went towards the bed and slept on my side.
"How long will this go Manik" She asked me.
"Nandini yeh choti baat nahi hai,
Kyun mujhe nahi pata hota half of the time ki tum kahan ho,
Kyun mujhe baar baar tumhe protect karna padta hai kyun?
Kyun itna naive ban rhi ho Nandini,
Nilay tumhara dost hai toh tumhe acha lagega hi,tum uski galtiyon ko bhi nazarandaz kar dogi mein nahi" I said sternly, getting up from sleeping position.
"Manik aesa kya kiya hai usne batao aap mujhe,warna mujhe kaise pata chalega" She said.
"Samajhdar ko ishara kaafi hota hai" I said and slept again.
She also went to her side of the bed.
For a long time I could hear Nandini's hiccups of crying.
Damn this hurts,but she has to understand.

Next morning,
Living room.
"Maa ka phone aaya tha,tumne mana kiya kya wahan jaane se rehne ke liye" I asked Nandini.
"Hmm" She said,her eyes were badly swollen.
"Kyun?!" I asked taking phone from her hand which she was ignoring me for.
"Aese hi Manik,abhi problems kam hai kya ki wahan jaake aur badhau" She whispered,only audible to me.
"Chali jana beta,waise bhi weekend hai na,hoke aa wahan" Mom said.
