Holy shit. I was staring at pocket-sized perfection. I smiled at him, and he smiled back. That smile...it melted my heart. If there was any time to believe in love at first sight, this was it. Holy shit.
I introduced myself to him and offered to help him move in, because I saw he was carrying boxes. Thankfully, he said yes. And...oh my god. He's my neighbour. I have a hot neighbour. Could this day get any better?!
We talk for about half an hour, and as each minute goes by I find more and more things that I like about him. How his fringe curls at the end near his eye, the way he smokes his cigarette, how he smiles every time I do, his deep chuckle, the way his smile could seduce even a catholic priest.
Quickly, I think of plans I could be having to attend. I don't wanna look needy, talking for hours; though that's not the real reason. I didn't want him to think:
'Why's this fat fuck stinking my room up of coffee and secondhand smoke?'
No, I think. I couldn't let that happen. Until he knows me, I'll keep my visits short and sweet. Even though I never want to leave the warm comfort his stare gives.
When he shuts his door, after I hugged him goodbye (I couldn't help myself, I mean, he's a pocket-sized model!), I pretend to walk down the stairs, then I slowly go into my apartment. I told him I was meeting up with Mikey, my brother. When I enter my living room, I kick around empty beer bottles on the floor. Oh yeah, that's what I was gonna do. Clean up. It looked as though I'd had at least 5 people around drinking last night, but alas, no. It was just me. I've got the headache to prove it, too.
I pick up a full bottle from the counter in the kitchen. It was Jack Daniels. It was starting to become my favourite drink. I drink and drink and drink until I can barely stand up, and then I drink some more. I get another bottle, but not whiskey this time, and finish it in seconds. I wanted something else! Something, something...tasty! I want a cocktail! Yeah! That's what I want, I'll make a cocktail.... I go to reach for the right glasses and equipment and bottles, but I can't see straight. I drop the glass, causing it to break and shatter loudly. I look at it for a solid 10 minutes before saying the word 'oh..'
I then zigzag to my bedroom, shove bottles violently off of my bed, and pass out.
Just a regular night at the Way household.
