'Hey, Ray?'
'Yeah, man?'
I paused slightly and then asked- 'Where's a good place for a date?'
Ray smiled brightly and winked at me.
'Oh darling, that's not the way to ask me out!' He said with a wink and a laugh; I joined in with him, earning some confused looks from the customers at the back drinking their coffee quietly.
'I don't know, man. Uhh....I know! There's this great place just a couple of blocks away, I know for a fact Gerard loves it. It's called 'Bernard's Coffee Hut' or some shit like that'
I gasped a little when he mentioned Gee, I mean Ray knew I was into dudes, but how...?
'Oh, don't look so shocked. You're gay, he's gay, neither of you shut the hell up about each other- you guys make it so-o obvious!' Ray grinned, stretching out the word 'so'.
I blushed and shoved his shoulder, mumbling the words 'shut up!' though I'm sure it came out more as a 'shur-yuppp'. He just chuckled at me, earning even more looks from the other customers drinking their coffees.
After that, we just talked as usual about music and work and guitars. He mentioned wanting to make a band, which I guess would be pretty cool; I'm pretty sure Gee knew a bass player, all we'd need is a singer. Oh well.
'So, who manned up? Who asked who?' Ray smiled. I guess we were talking about my love life again. Which could easily translate to 'I blushed again', but whatever.
'I asked him....and then, we uh, like...we like, kissed, and stuff....' I choked out, shutting my eyes in embarrassment, though I wasn't embarrassed. Even a straight dude would be proud of kissing a sex god like Gee.
I looked up a minute or two later to see what could only be described as 'fangirling'. He was blushing and giggling, putting his hand over his heart jokingly. I gave him the finger.
'Save that for Gerard, mister!'
...oh, Ray. Of all the times to make a dirty joke. I laughed right into the face of a slightly older lady, startling her. I immediately apologised, giving Ray jokey death glares whilst he tried to maintain his fangirl.
--
'Frankie!' I smiled at what could only be described as the voice of an angel.
'Hey, Gee bear!' I turned and saw him, looking remarkably fresh and somewhat hyper. I guess he's already benefiting from a day without booze. I smiled.
'How you feeling, little guy?' He said whilst leaning his elbow on my shoulder. I scowled at him and shrugged him, though I failed to keep a straight face.
'First off, shut it, male. Secondly- I'm great! Yourself?' He slid his hand into mine. I blushed. So did he.
'Im a-gay-zing, oh great giant' he said whilst flicking my fringe. I chuckled.
'Thats better!' We winked at eachother.
I loved this. I felt so comfortable around him..I can't wait for our date.
