Alan's POV
For the rest of the trip, we spoke as silently as possible, not wanting to wake Jane up. She looked very tired and I wanted her to be as rested as possible. As the car approached the place of the event, the driver slid the partition down and told us we would be arriving soon. I nodded and tried to wake Jane up.
"Are we there yet daddy?" She asked in a mix of excitement and sleep.
"We'll be arriving soon peanut." I said, with a smile.
A short moment after, the door was opened and I got out of the car. I helped Rose out of it before taking Jane in my arms. The place was filled with people for the majority dressed in Hogwarts uniforms. I placed Jane on my hip and she cuddled into me. Rose was a few steps behind us. I went through the interview process. Most of the journalists asked questions about my character and how I felt about the whole filming process. Although Rose wasn't by my side, I could feel her presence behind me and somehow, it calmed me down.
After the interviews was the photo call. I did a few photos with Rose and Jane and after a little while saw that Jane was getting a little annoyed by all the flashes of the photographs. I gave Jane to Rose and did a few more photos on my own and with the cast of the movie.
At last, we went inside the movie theatre were the reception was held. I grabbed two flutes of champagne out of a tray one of the waiters was holding and gave one to Rose.
"Congratulations on your first red carpet event." I said to her as we cheered.
Rose's POV
I had died and gone up to heaven. It was the only logical explanation to what was happening to me. We spent the rest of the cocktail, drinking and eating finger food while talking to few of the stars. Emma had spent the most time with us, she was cooing over Jane which seemed to amuse Alan a great lot and when Jane asked Alan if she could have something to eat, she proposed to go to the kids buffet.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the screening will begin in 15 minutes, please proceed to room number 1." A man said over the speakers of the cinema.
"I'll be right back, I'll just go powder my nose..."
"I'll get Jane and wait for you in the cinema. Just say to the doorman you're with me and he'll lead you to your place." Alan said before giving me a quick kiss and going towards Emma and Jane who were at the kids buffet, eating candies.
I opened the door leading to the bathroom and after I took a few steps, someone grabbed me and pulled me inside what looked like a closet.
"Don't do anything stupid and you'll get out of here alive." A voice said.
There were hands around my neck, choking me lightly. I tried to stay calm, knowing that if I panicked, I would worsen my case.
"I... I... won't, what do you want from me? I can give you money, jewellery. Please don't hurt me." I gasped in between my words.
"You think that's what I want, you're more stupid than what I thought Rose. You think you can steal my husband without me fighting for it." The voice that I know recognized as belonging to Alix said.
"I don't see what you mean Alix, but in no case did I steal your husband..." I said before feeling her hands tighten more around my neck.
I tried to fight it, not to fall asleep and stay conscious, but not long after, I lost my consciousness.
Alan's POV
The film had begun and Rose hadn't come back. For the first ten minutes of the movie I wasn't so much worried. Maybe she had felt a little overwhelmed by the whole event and needed a few minutes to get her spirits back. When the thirty minute mark passed, I began to seriously worry, wondering if she had not fled, even though if that possibility seemed very slim as she would have at least sent me a text and I hadn't received anything from her.
One hour later, I was definitely worried. She still wasn't back and I hadn't had anything from her. Jane had dozed off on Emma's shoulder.
"Emma, can you watch over Jane for a little moment? I'll explain later..." I whispered as lowly as possible.
She nodded and I stood up, exiting the theatre as discreetly as possible. I went towards the bathrooms and as I was walking in the corridor, something shiny caught my eye. I picked it up and immediately recognized the brooch Rose had been wearing this evening. I ran out of the bathroom and went to where the cars were parked. I asked to the security guard at the entry of the cinema if he had seen Rose. He nodded negatively and I began to seriously worry.
"Sir, I am sorry to ask that of you, but I think something happened to my girlfriend. Could you call the head of security please?" I asked him wondering what happened to Rose.
"Of course, sir, if you could come with me, I'll call the head of the security department immediately." He said to me, leading towards the security headquarters.
I asked the security guard if he could bring my daughter at the end of the screening. He nodded and bid me goodbye. The head security guard was a strong bulky man dressed in a classic tie and black suit.
"Good evening Mr. Rickman. My employee informed me you thought there was a problem with your girlfriend. Could you tell me where you saw her for the last time and when it was?" He asked sitting down in front of the huge wall of screens on the wall.
"It was 15 minutes before the start of the screening in the main lobby." I said without an hesitation.
A few minutes later, I could see us on the screen, I had just kissed her on the lips and she went towards the bathroom.
"It's her, in the green dress." I said pointing towards her image on the screen.
"Alright, now we just have to follow her." He said pressing buttons on the huge control pad in front of him.
I watched the footages as someone grabbed her and dragged her into a closet with horror. A few minutes later someone got out of it with on its shoulder Rose seemingly unconscious. I gasped when I saw who was carrying her as her aggressor looked right into the camera: Alix Relbon, my ex.
