Now I will be discussing about the branch of Islam well known by all of us-SHIA. As the month of Muharram is round the corner, I've decided to spread the message of Islam by Imam Hussain(as) and his sacrifices to y'all. Today, I'll give a brief idea about this branch of Islam-SHIA.

Q) What do you mean by the word SHIA? -The word Shia is actually derived from an Arabic word(شيعة علي) meaning-Followers of Imam Ali(as). -Also it has been mentioned in the Quran وَاِنَّ مِنۡ شِيۡعَتِهٖ لَاِبۡرٰهِيۡمَۘ (Surah Saffat-83) Meaning-And Indeed, Abraham was among his Shia. Now, this explains that Allah gave this title to Hadhrat Ibrahim for truly following his previous prophet. -Likewise, A Momin who truly follows The Holy Quran, Hadhrat Muhammad pbuh and his successor, Imam Ali(as) is known to be a SHIA.
Q) Whom do the Shia follow? -Basically, every Muslim believes in Allah, Hadhrat Muhammad(pbuh) and The Holy Quran. It is just that Shias also believe in Imamah(12 Imams)and AhlalBayt(Family of the House) in addition to 1)Tawhid(Unity of God) and 2)Nubuwwah(Prophethood of Hadhrat Muhammad pbuh)
Q) Then what's MUHARRAM? -Muharram is the month of mourning which marks the battle of Karbala and it's aftermath. -Though the branches of Islam celebrate this month in different ways. But we need to understand that it is the month of REMEMBRANCE. :Remembering the sacrifices of Imam Hussain(as), his family and his companions. We have been doing this since last 1400 years.

Dear Muslims, The sacrifice of Imam Hussain(as) is not limited to one branch of Islam(Shia)rather it is the symbol of brotherhood of all Mankind. -Inshallah, In the name of love for Hussain Ibn Ali, I decide to share waqai'a(Incidents) of Karbala for the next 12 days and spread Paigham e Hussainiat(message of Imam Hussain as-TO BE A BETTER MUSLIM).
