KARBALA-THE UNTOLD STORY

❤❤HAZRAT ABBAS-ALAMDAR E KARBALA❤❤

The 8th of Muharram is the day when we remember Hazrat e Abbas.
HAZRAT E ABBAS? WHO?
He is the son of Imam Ali(as) and Bibi Ummulbanin(sa). From childhood, Abbas Ibn Ali took care of his brother and addressed him as his Master.
Such was the courage of Abbas Ibn Ali that people never dared to attack Imam Hussain.
THEN WHAT HAPPENED AT KARBALA?
On the day of Ashoor, 10th of Muharram Abal Fadhl Abbas(Hazrat Abbas)was restless, he could see Hazrat Qasim's body being trampled by horses, spear in Ali Akbar's chest, dead bodies of Aun O Mohammed. Yet he never stood up and fought against Yezid's army. You know why?
Because it was Imam Hussain who stopped him. Upon his several requests, Hussain Ibn Ali never agreed and said, "O Abbas! You're the captain of my army, Abbas Alamdar-the standard bearer."
Also, if Qamr Banu Hashim(Abbas) entered the battlefield, Hussain would have easily won the battle. But nah! Imam's Hussain actual AIM was to reawaken Islam and not score a victory.
Just then, Bibi Sakina, daughter of Imam Hussain enters the camp with a dried water bag(Mashk)in her hand asking for his uncle to go and fetch water for them as they were thirsty since three days!

THEN?
Abbas Ibn Ali is "Baab Al Hawaej"(Door to fulfilling wishes)took the dried mashk and promised Bibi Sakina to bring water.
Hussain Ibn Ali advised him to avoid fighting as much as possible because Abal Fadhl's only task was to BRING WATER.
Therefore, he marched out the camp only with one sword, a flag(Alam) and mashk on his shoulder.

Ah! It was Abbas who entered the battlefield. And everyone from Yezid's army hid themselves fearing to face the son of Ali. No sooner,Abbas reached Nehr e Furat(River Euphrates)and began to fill the mashk. He eagerly wanted to give the mashk to Bibi Sakina and started his journey towards the Khaema(camps).

Fearing to fight,one soldier climbed a tree and struck his sword on Hazrat Abbas' right shoulder.The sword and the arm fell onto the ground. Just then, another soldier struck him on the left shoulder.The ALAM fell.

Still! ABBAS never reacted and rode his horse. He only had one thought-TO FULFILL THE PROMISE OF BIBI SAKINA.
With no arms, he held the mashk with his teeth and tried his best to protect it.
But in vain, an arrow had pierced the mashk and water started to fall on the ground.

WAS IT WATER THAT WAS FLOWING OUT OF THE MASHK OR THE HOPES OF ABBAS?
Ah! Abbas fell from the horse! And called his master.
Imam Hussain seemed to lose all this strength when he heard the voice of his loyal brother, Abbas...
Imam Hussain rushed towards him only to see his courageous brother lying motionless on the ground, with no arms and an arrow in his eye. He was shocked and started to cry.
Now, Hazrat Abbas asked for two wishes from his Aqah
1)to clean the blood from his eye so that he can see his beloved master's face before he dies.
2)to not to carry his body to the camp as he cannot face Bibi Sakina even in death.
Accepting his wishes, Hussain further said, "Ya Abbas! Since childhood you've called me MASTER. For once atleast call me BROTHER."

This was enough for Abbas' to regain his strength to whisper these words. And then he breathed his last in his brother's lap..

WHAT ABOUT HUSSAIN NOW?
Hussain's back(Abbas) has been broken, he is tired, he is heartbroken, he is all ALONE.

He carries the Alam and torn mashk to the Khaema(camp)and gives it to Bibi Zainab.
This was enough to inform them about Shahinshah e Wafa's(King of Loyalty)death.

Everyone in Hussain's army are hopeless now. Meanwhile, Hussain hears the cry of his seven month old baby. What will happen next?
