Jughead was greeted by the warm cries of Mr Andrews from somewhere upstairs and the pungent smell of burning. "Shit", Archie cursed from deep within the smoke filled kitchen.
"Language" haullered Mr Andrews from the floor above, only half serious. Jughead made his way through the house admiring the fresh paint in the hallway, wondering if that wouldve been a nicer smell the greet him. Through the thick smoke swirling round the room he spotted Archie on top of the kitchen counter trying to force open the small window next the the sink, Jughead couldnt help but smirk with amusment at the sight of his incapable freind. "so youre just going to sit there are you?" Archie groaned through gritted teath as the window finaly gave way.
"But surely Archie Andrews, star football captain, musician extroaudinare can manage the, admittedly chalanging, task of opening a window", he said with a cough as more smoke filled his lunges, "or even reheating a pizza" he added sarcasticaly.
"Oi" Archie retaliated, jumping of the work surface, "I am one of gods miracles, you'll treat me with respect" he scorned, glaring at Jughead like he was a small child.
"yes ma'm", Jughead aswered with a half hearted sulout. Archie rolled his eyes.
"So i got a film, its going to be a bit of a challenge for you", Archie said in a distainful manner, "But i think you'll survive. it might even be good for you".
"Your piont is?" Jughead snapped back unamused
"It has a happy ending.... and no one dies" he replied with smug grin,
"Oh yes, just like the poetic trajedy of reality" he sighed as he dramaticaly fell onto the old sagging sofa infront of the TV that Archie was currently trying to jam the DVD into.
"lighten up, youll enjoy it", he smiled, making is way over to the sofa, sitting practicaly ontop of Jughead's legs.
"I'd rather enjoy the touch of death's cold clammy hands"
"Get over your self", Archie laughed, gently pushing his freind back over to his side, looking into his eyes.
"I would if you didnt have such terible taste in films, and music for that matter; and books, oh and clothing and-
"Shut up and start watching", he smirked turning his eyes back to the screen
"Yes sir" he shot back sarcasticaly.
"Thats what i was looking for", Archie countered, allowing his gaze to fall once again the soft face of his freind.
