"You're what now?", FP growled, a mixture of fury and disgust evident on his face. Jughead looked around. It appeared that he was back in his dad's trailer, he wasn't quite sure what was going on. Looking up at his father as he paced the length of the kitchen, he gave him a questioning look, trying to find some answers, yet also not wanting to anger him further.

"Don't look at me like that, it wasn't me that brought disgrace to this family", FP said, shaking his head in disapproval. Jughead thought that he also wasn't the one with a drinking problem, but decided not to voice that particular opinion. FP continued,"I just.. I can't believe you're a fucking fag".

Jughead's forehead creates in pure disbelief. "I would never-I didn't, Dad please.. I-"

"So you're saying you don't have a crush on the Andrews boy".

"Who told you, I haven't told anyone. Im sorry, I know its wrong, I just-", he whined, tears threatening to spill.

"You just what, Huh boy?", FP shot back, striding ever closer,"Just a disappointment is what you are.", he whispered, full of contempt.

Jughead woke up with a gasp, heart pounding. He felt tears well up in his eyes as he tried to force them away, swinging his legs over the side of the bed, head in his hands. He heard the sheets rustle beside him.  He waited a moment, holding his breath, but Archie remained silent.

Jughead let out a shake breath, pulling his hands through his hair. Why did he have to be this way, its as if he wanted his dad to hate him. He was sure Archie would be repulsed by the idea.

Jughead eyed the room out of curiosity. He hadn't been here in a while, not since things with his dad started to get bad again, but everything looked more or less the same. Among the dark green walls lay pictures and posters, none of them hung at right angles. Most of them where of bands or guitarists, most of which Jughead had never heard of; a couple of photos of Archie and his friends, mainly him with Jughead, but a few included Reggie and a couple of other guys from the football team. But the thing that always made Jughead smile to himself were the various motivational quotes scattered amongst his other possessions. Some were printed out on post cards, others in large cursive lettering on the walls, all of them looking like they came straight from a middle aged woman's facebook page. Jughead always thought they were hilarious, but secretly wondered if they might actually be the key to his friends successes, seeing as Jughead was easily brighter than him yet probably behind him in most things.

He felt his breathing return to normal. Maybe nobody had to find out about his shameful secret. The thought of telling somebody made him want to through up, but Archie always prodded him to tell him about his problems. Thats how Jughead ended up staying with the Andrews a couple of years ago, because of his dad. There was another thing he couldn't tell Archie, he didn't want to burden them again.

Once again he heard the sheets stir beside him and saw the redheads face emerge from layers upon layers of blankets, eyes blinking to make out the silhouettes of the darkened room.

"Hey", he mumbled with a delicate smile, eyes still full of sleep.

"Hey yourself", Jughead replied with a smirk,"Its still light outside, I think its maybe about 7. How you feeling".

"Less shitty, but god am I hungry. Ill get changed, can you turn the light on?"

Jughead stretched out dramatically, causing Archie to giggle, before laboriously making his way over to the light switch, groaning as he went. The lights came flickering on, both boys screwing up their faces.

"Dude, get a grip, enough with the dramatic already. Wait, man, your eyes are really puffy, and you're actually kind of pale, you alright?", Archie questioned, not bothering to mask his concern.

"Well not all of us look like Gods the second we wake up".  Wow, real smooth, Jughead thought to himself. Archie forced a laugh, although a bit confused, Jughead didn't mean it like that, not in the way Archie was thinking, he probably wasn't in to guys anyway.

"But seriously, you know you can always-"

"Yeah yeah, come to me with all your problems, unload all your crap, blah blah, I get it ok, don't worry I get it", Jughead said only half joking, looking at the floor, "Maybe one of your posters can help me".

"This isn't over", Archie retaliated with al glare, pointing his finger at Jughead's face, "But right now I'm really fucking hungry".
