Dear,
Tommy Williams
"Hey Sky, this lucky fellow is single and ready to mingle if you still haven't found a date." Richard informed me. I let out a small laugh.
"Thank you but no thank you." I answered. The 'fellow' was a very handsome guy, he's 19. His black hair is perfectly brushed in a swift motion. He wears a black Hawk jersey with red basketball shorts sponsoring our school logo. Which is a yellow sun.
"Sky I am willing to give you free make-outs with me." Octavian offered.
"Nope, not interested at all." I shook my head. I playfully played with my McDonald's French fries and dipped it in ketchup then ate it. Richard reached for my fries but I slapped his hand away just in time.
"Ouch." He winces.
I ignore them both. "Okay if this was a blind date you should of told me so that I would of brought Angelica."
"My girl?" Octavian asked in confusion.
"I didn't know you guys were dating, she never told me about you." I say as a pick up my sweater and put it on. I wait for them to get ready. Together we walk to the park, but by then Octavian had left to his own path, said he was busy.
Richard and I didn't talk for awhile, instead we listened to the leaves of the trees and kids roaming through the blue and black playground.
"No date yet? Like for real?" Richard ask as he sits on the grass below a tree. He lays down, both hands under his head, legs crossed.
I sit next to him, both arms around my legs. I lean against the tree. "You've been wearing a lot of plaid shirts and jeans, you look like a farm boy." I tell him, but he only ignores me, "Why are guys complicated?" I ask at no one in specific. I wait in silence for an answer.
"The same reasons girls are complicated," Richard states in a tone of dah. "I'm just playing with you. well boys aren't cliche and dramatic therefore you guys or shall I say women think of us complicated while in the contrary you are the ones on their periods every FREAKING day of the week," Richard stands up and gives me his hands. I reach for it and he slightly pushes me up to him. I brush away the dirt from my pants.
"I think I'm going home." I say as I untangle my hair from the messy bun I had earlier.
"let me walk you home," Richard offers.
I was about to reject his offer but I changed my mind. "Okay, but it's a long way where I'm going." I warn.
He gives me one of his side smiles, that's when I playfully dig my fingers to his dimples and he tries to get away. "Those dimples of yours make me want to kiss them." I laugh as I keep squishing his face. He brings his arms around my waist, lifting me in the air before tickling me.
"Then do it." He challenges.
I stare at his blue eyes, he slowly drops me to the ground. My heart starts to pound as if my chest could not contain it. Steady pulses run through my body. I bring my hands to his cold neck. Running my fingers through his smooth hair. I lick my lips. His eyes follow my eyes to the bridge of my nose to my lips. I slowly lean my body against his strong one. I feel him tense up as I then, only a few inches away from his lips reaching mines. I slightly gasp and he fist my shirt tight in the back with his hand. I see him close is eyes as I close mine.
"Richard?" I whisper.
He opens his eyes.
"Your such a bastard." And I turn away. I didn't have to look back to see he was following me. Because all he said to me was "Your tempting Sky, you are."
Yours truly,
Sky ✉
