Chapter Nineteen

My Pov:

Fluttering my eyes open, the moonlight is peeking in.

I look over and see Felix on his side, facing away from me. I smile to myself and place my arm around him, closing my eyes again. I felt my hand get squeezed lightly and get rubbed. This made me kiss his clothed shoulder.

Felix didn't say anything, he only rolled over so he could face me.

I smile at him, placing my hand in his. He took my fist in his hand, opening it up so our palms rested against each other. His hand was larger than mine.

Felix took my hand, placing it where his heart would be, keeping my hand in his. I did the same with his other hand, resting it on my gentle beating heart.

We laid there in silence, holding each other caringly, our eyes resting on the others bright eyes.

He took my hand he held and kissed it. I took the hand I held and intertwined my fingers with his, taking the hand he just kissed to rest upon his cheek. I slid my thumb across his cheekbone before pulling him closer. Felix's lips softly met mine. I move back from the mellow kiss, letting him sigh a relaxed, calm sigh.

"I love you," Felix whispers.

"I love you, too," I whisper.

He turned back over, looking at the other two resting figures. "Ryan looks better, and Alex looks calm," he says.

I perch myself on my elbow and look at the two. Ryan did look much better and his breathing was steady again. Alex was just laying there looking lifeless expect the fact her stomach raised and lowered gently.

"I think we should take a break. Let us all rest, all we know this maybe our only time to rest," I suggest.

Felix nods. "Yea, we all need it. Just a time to relax, or a least try to," he agrees.

I lay back down on the stone floor, staring up at the high ceiling. My thoughts wondered to what was before and what was now. What it would be like at this moment if we weren't here.

All of a sudden I heard a familiar beat. I sit up and look at Felix think he's the doer, but he only looks upwards.

It was Alex, her eyes were still closed, but her hands tapped in the beat of Animals by Martin Garrix.

"Is she awake?" Felix asks.

I shrug, grabbing a small rock. "Only one way to find out," I said throwing it at the girl.

The rock hit next to her head, making Alex's eyes shoot open. She flinched almost sending her off the rubble.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Shh, Ryan's still sleeping," she says jumping off.

"Says the one smacking the wall," I counter.

"It was light tapping," Alex protest.

"Do you guys argue all the time?" The now awake Ryan shifts himself on the wall.

Alex glares at him as my gaze just rest on him. Felix chuckled during all of this.

I shook my head and look down at my hands as my thoughts travelled again. Hearing that beat made me miss singing, I used to do it all the time. I even enjoyed it when friends would get together and sing like a pack of sick hyenas.

"What are you humming?" Felix asks.

I didn't even realise I had begun humming. Then the song donned on me because I always sang it in tough times. "It's Everybody Hurts by REM," I answer.

Felix continued to look at me with curiosity as did Ryan. Alex was off in her own world... goddammit Alex.

"Why don't you sing?" Felix suggest.

My face heated up with the words escaping his mouth. "I'm not sure... I've really only sang in front of my friends back home," I say nervously.

"We are your friends, then there's Alex," Ryan says laughing.

"Watch it!" Alex snaps.

Ryan only smirked under his mask.

"Okay," I stop myself from stuttering. I really didn't take to kindly to the thought of singing in front of others.

My voice started out quiet, but eased louder with the few seconds. The next thing I know it felt like I was back home singing like I always have. It felt good to have that memory so close again.

I inhaled a large breath when I found myself at the end of the song.

Felix looked at me wide eyed and Ryan's jaw was slightly agape. Alex smiles at me for she's one I the few people to hear me sing truthfully.

"Why don't you sing in your videos?" Felix asks.

My only reply was a shrug. "I guess I'm still a little shy about that stuff," I try to find the honest truth.

"Well you have an amazing voice," Ryan says.

"Thank you," I blush slightly out of shyness. "And you should take more of whatever we found. It looks as if it's working," I added.

"Where is i- Ouch!" Ryan stopped in mid sentence from pain.

Alex threw the bottle at him. "I told you to watch it," she smirks.

I laugh. "And you got mad at us for fighting," I giggle.

Felix laughed as well as he pulled me in his lap. His arms held mine as his chin rested on the top of my head. "I promise you we'll get out of here," he whispers in my ear.
