Lorie's alarm clock went off as her eyes shot open and she groaned.
She was in the middle of having the perfect dream about David.
He has been on her mind since last night, she don't think he is ever going to leave from it.

She threw the covers off her and sat up, stretching.
She heard gospel music playing outside of her room. It gave her an indication that her mom was already awake. It was her usual routine in the morning.

She grabbed her notebook from the side of her and flipped all the way to the page about David. She awe as she squealed how adorable he looked in the photo.

"That's a cute photo of me."
Her head shot up as she seen David right in front of her, smacking on a piece of bacon. She yelped and threw her book on the floor.

David jumped back before it could hit his foot.
He knew he should have knocked knowing Lorie doesn't tolerate that.

Some mornings, he would come over the Gaines's house for breakfast.

Lorie's chest heaved up and down as her heartbeat uncontrollably.
She stared at him.

"David..oh my god! What did I tell you about knocking?!"
She managed to say while out of breath.

David laughed as he took another bite of his bacon.
"I did knock, you can't hear cause you were too busy staring at my photo."

Lorie blushed.
"Well, knock next time!"
She snapped as she got out of her bed and went to the bathroom.

"Knock next time."
He mocked in a high pitch tone that didn't sound nothing like her, he chuckled and ate the rest of his bacon as he walked out of her room.

After eating breakfast, Lorie and David walk to his house.

The kids around them were laughing and riding their bikes.

"How'd you sleep?"
David asked, kicking a rock as he looked at her.

Lorie tucked her hair behind her ear.
"I slept well."
Some parts of her dream played in her mind causing her to smile as she stared at the light blue sky.

"You've been thinking about me?"
David teased, nudging her in the side as he knocked her out of a thought.

Lorie was confused.
"Huh?"

"I said have you been thinking about me? I saw you smiling."
He repeated, smirking at her.

Lorie blushed.
"I can't hide it, I have."
She admitted.
