Lorie exited out of her history class when she saw Nedra at the end of the hallway, talking to her friends. A smile spread across her face as she made her way towards them.

"Hey, Nedra! Hey girls!"
She greeted in her signature chirpy tone.

Nedra and the girls stopped their conversation.
Some gave her dirty looks while Nedra plastered a fake smile.

"Hey."
She greeted back.

"What's up? I haven't seen you in the cafeteria for breakfast, we always go together. Did I do something wrong?"
Lorie wondered.

"Uh, I couldn't make it cause my mom already gave me breakfast."
Nedra lied, hoping she would fall for it.

Lorie nodded as she understood.
Her and Nedra use to be close. They were friends since the beginning of the school year. She thought she was fun to be around.

"Nedra, are you finish talking to her?"
One of Nedra's friends with a raspy voice asked.

Lorie notice that the girls wasn't too fond of her.
It was because she isn't like them due to her personality and the way she dressed. After being uplifted by her friend, Lorie decided to go back to dressing her normal self. She wore a light pink floral dress with a jean jacket and white sneakers.

"I'm sorry, I'll see you later."
She waved bye at Lorie before turning around and walking away with her friends.

Lorie wanted to follow but she chose not to.
She knows where she is not wanted. It doesn't stop her from being Nedra's friend.

"So, I was wondering if you and your friend want to kick it with me and my boy. He's a DJ and he is having this huge party Saturday night."
KK informed the two girls while another one was trying to get David's attention.

School was over and he leaned against his car as he waited for Lorie to come out. He became concern cause her attitude change when he saw her walking down the hallway. She was happier in the morning, he wondered what happened.

"David, are you ignoring me?"
The girl asked as he snapped out of his thoughts.

She was a bit shorter than him with a thick build.
Her skin was brown and she wore a bowl cut.

"My bad, babydoll. What you ask me?"
He flashed a small smile which made her blush.

"I said am I coming to your party?"
She repeated the question, raising her brow in the process.

David smacked his lips and stale faced her.
"Now, why would ask me a dumb question like that?"
He then laughed, continuing.

"You already know that you're invited."
The girl's eyes widened as she gasped.

"Foreal? Oh God, I asked cause I thought you didn't want girls my size there."
She frowned.

"Aww, no. Everybody's welcome to party."
David assured.

Him being such a kindhearted person shows that he has love for everybody. He didn't mind kicking it with you.
