The smell of breakfast wafted into her nostrils as she open her eyes. Sitting up, Lorie stretched and look over at David who was sleeping.

She pinched his cheek before removing the covers off of her.

"Morning, mama."
She greeted, walking into the kitchen.

Allison look over her shoulder.
"Morning, lady."

She gave her mom a tight hug, looking at the stove as she seen she was frying sausages.

She deeply inhaled the scent, sighing.
"I can't wait to eat those."

Her mom laughed.
"Yep, I made them for you and David. My girlfriends treated me out for breakfast already. Is he still asleep?"

Lorie nodded.
"We have been watching cartoons all night and talking."

She took a seat at the table.
"I'm glad you he's your friend."

Lorie thought about yesterday as she fidgeted her fingers.
"Do you have a problem with me dating him?"

Allison turn around with a surprised facial expression.
"Since when did this happen?"

Lorie smirked.
"Last night."

"Aww, but there's no problem with him dating you. I've always said that you two would be cute together but you kept saying: I don't know, just I don't think I'm his type."
She mocked, making her daughter laugh.

She placed her food in front of her.
"That is me."
She admits, saying grace before eating.

"Mhm."
Then David walked in the kitchen.

"Morning!"
Allison greeted.

David stretched his arms and back as he groaned. Looking over at Lorie, he perched his lips to the side.

Lorie smirked as she place her forkful of grits.

"Morning, mommy."
David hugged her then kiss her cheek.

She gave him his plate as he took a seat next to Lorie at the table.

"Morning, grumpy."
Lorie mumbled as she drink her orange juice.

"Morning, happy."
He mumbled back, almost making Lorie choke on her juice.

Thankfully, she swallowed and wipe her mouth.

David ate some of his food then drink his juice.
"How'd you sleep?"

David nod his head.
"Good."

He look up at her.
"You?"

"Good."
She mocked.

David stale faced her and poke at her nose. She swatted his hand away as they both laugh.

"Are you two going to church with me?"
Allison asked.

Lorie and David paused in their eating as they exchange looks.
"You want to?"

Lorie asked.
