Theo Gallivan stood over Rory as she slept, watching her breath with a small frown. He didn't understand why Jerome had captured this girl. He had always thought Jerome was too mad to want a companion. But as he looked down at the 19-year-old, he could see that any man would want to have such a stunning girl on his arm.
He'd never really thought much of red-headed girls, he preferred blondes more than anything, but as he watched Rory sleep, he couldn't help think about how gorgeous this girl was. Her full, peach pink lips, subtle cheekbones, slim nose and her pale, freckled skin was driving him crazy. There was just something so innocent about her, something so pure and it made him feel like he had to protect her. The idea of anyone hurting her made Theo's skin crawl.
"What are you doing?" The gravelly voice of Jerome startled him and caused his gaze on Rory to break. He turned back to face the criminal.
"Who is this?" Theo asked, pointing down to Rory. Jerome tensed, his face remaining as stern.
Gallivan had never seen Jerome without a smile, or at least he had never had the boy glared at him. But as Jerome stared Theo down a small flicker of fear started to grow at the bottom of Theo's stomach as he realised how unpredictable Jerome could be.
"She's no one," Jerome said in a low, dangerous voice.
Theo stared at Jerome for a few moments, trying to catch any hit that he was messing with him. There was nothing but insanity behind his bright blue eyes.
"I need to know who's under my roof, Jerome, you can't bring random girls here," Theo recomposed from his slightly startled expression and went back to his confident persona.
"She's not a random girl," Jerome replied, stepping forward and next to the couch. He started to run his fingers over Rorys cheeks.
"She's my reward," he muttered as he looked down at Rory.
Theo looked at the boy, his eyes wide with realisation as he finally understood.
"This is the girl you asked me about when we first broke you out?" Theo quizzed.
Jerome only hummed a reply as he watched the girl.
Theo had never seen anyone so captivated by somebody before, more importantly, he'd never seen Jerome so fascinated by anyone before. He looked back down at the girl and felt the rush of calm and control. Looking at her seemed to make him feel like he had finally gained control over everything; he was finally where he wanted to be when he watched her.
Her fingers twitched, and her eyes scrunched up as she woke up. Her red hair flipping over her shoulder as she slowly sat up.
"Where am I?" she whispered.
The sound of her voice made Theo's body go crazy, a sudden rush of large butterflies shot up around his stomach, and the feeling of happiness and power overtook him. At the site of Jerome, she jerked back in terror.
He just laughed at her, standing still and watched as she tried to create distance between them. Only she ended up walking into Theo. The feeling of her body against his generated another wave of butterflies to comb through his body. Her touch burned through his clothes and felt warm and electric.
She turned around to face him and met his eyes with a full and petrified glare. Her eyes were a deep blue, vibrant and bright similar to the colour of sapphires, Theo had never seen eyes like it; they were breathtaking. He wasn't showing any emotion in his face. His look must have seemed hard and angry.
"You must forgive Jerome," he spoke, looking up at the boy behind her.
"He is just excited that's all," Theo reassured, looking back down at the girl.
He stuck out a hand and smiled at her: "My name's Theo Gallivan, you are?"
The girl looked at Theo and then looked back at Jerome with fretful eyes. The smile had dropped from his face as he watched Theo.
"That's none of your concern, Galavan!" Jerome snapped, he stepped forward, placing his hands on her shoulders. At his touch, Rory squirmed away, looking at the red-haired boy with fear in her eyes.
"You're going to kill me, aren't you?" She whimpered. He opened his mouth to respond but paused and looked to Theo.
"Could you give us a minute?" Jerome asked with a stern tone
This caught Theo offguard, but he nodded and, as much as he hated it, he left the room. The feeling of power slowly fading the further away he got from her. He didn't care what he had to do. He wanted her, and he always got what he wanted.

Jerome stalked towards her after Galivan had left. Before Rory could even try to get away from him, he had her in a tight embrace. He cupped her face as he pressed her against him. He had missed that rush of power that she gave him: the thrill of a kill was coursing through his veins.
She squirmed against him, but the blow to the head had made her weaker, and very quickly she abandoned her attempts to get free of his clutch. He brought his face close to hers and said in a low and intimidating voice.
"You are never leaving my side, do you understand?" he growled into her ear as his hand moved from her face to her hair. He pulled harshly, causing her to gasp.
"I said, do you understand?"
She slowly nodded, trying to avoid eye contact with him.
"Good," he said with a smile.
His hand gripped the back of her head, suddenly, and he kissed her again. His hold on her ensured that she couldn't pull away. He pulled back and looked at her face, his expression stern and intimidating. He then let go of her waist, but held her wrist tightly and led her to his room.
