Chapter 66: Playing Along

Tier had dressed me in something with more maneuverability, since I would be moving a lot on stage. But it was still pretty damn revealing. The dress was mostly black. The sweatheart neckline showed quite a bit of cleavage. There were shimmery laces on the back to help keep it in place so that I wouldn't have to worry about it slipping, but it was still comfortable and not too constraining, like a normal corset would be. And the form-fitting material clung to my torso, hugging my waist tightly before flaring out at the hips. There were a lot of colored ruffles layered underneath the skirt, supposedly to keep my goodies from being seen and to add some pop while I was performing. The ankle boots that she'd given me were studded and had a thick heel, making them easy to walk in. She'd done my make-up, adding some heavy eyeliner and mascara to complete the look. When she was finished, I hardly recognized my own reflection. Tier seemed happy with the look, and she was the professional in this situation, so I trusted her.
"Thanks, Tier." I smiled happily, really thankful that she always took the time to help me out with things like this.
And she grinned at me. "No problem, Juna." Then she gave me a hip bump and a wink. "Just give me a shout out or something while you're on stage."
I nodded eagerly, grinning back at her. "Can and will do!"
The dress didn't have any pockets, and I'd only brought my messenger bag. Since I didn't want to lug that around, I left everything in the upstairs washroom and just grabbed my phone to carry. She led me out of the washroom and back down to the club area. There was some food sprawled out on one of the larger tables and I saw my bandmates gathered there to eat. I skipped over to them, suddenly starving once I smelled the food.
"Damn, wifey. You're looking hot." Shuuhei grinned as I came to a stop at the table.
I rolled my eyes, holding back a giggle. "Thanks, hubby." I figured I may as well go with it, since there was no stopping him anyway.
A shocked expression crossed his face, his eyes widening and his fine eyebrows lifting on his forehead. And then he wrapped his arms around me, smiling widely. "Aw, you finally decided to accept my marriage proposal, huh? I knew you would!"
I couldn't help but laugh as I struggled in his grasp, barely maintaining enough space to breathe. "Get off of me, Shuuhei!" I was pushing off of his chest from where he'd tugged my face into it, trying to keep my makeup and hair from getting messed up.
Renji was the one to jerk him away, an irritated scowl on his face. "You heard her! Get off!"
He managed to pry him away, and I took the opportunity to hop into the seat beside Ichigo and accept the to-go plate that he was holding out to me.
"Thank you!" I smiled in thanks before I began eating, trying to hurry so that I could check on our setup before I went to see Grimmjow.
"Juna..." Renji mumbled into my ear as he slid into the vacant seat beside me, the one that he had pulled Shuuhei out of. "Why did you call him hubby?" His tattooed face was still pinched into a scowl.
"Because she's my wifey." Shuuhei interjected as he sat down into the chair that Renji had vacated when he'd come to my rescue. "Duh."
I swallowed a mouthful of food, rolling my eyes as I smiled at Shuuhei's ridiculousness. But then I focused on Renji, wanting to make sure that I dissuaded his upset. "I was just playing along, Renji." When I heard Shuuhei scoff, I winked over in his direction before looking back at Renji. "I love Shuuhei, but not in that way."
