|Melony's POV|

--- ~ --- ~ --- ~ ---

There's a few perks to not consuming alcoholic beverages at parties. One perk is that you can sit around and watch the drunken attempt to dance. Now, I say attempt because they're constantly falling over, they look as if they're balloons caught outside on a windy day. Another perk is that you don't have to struggle with hazy, dizzying vision on your way to the loo, but you do have to deal with drunks stumbling into you as you walk past. Passing the bar, I see that every single one of my friends are piss drunk.

Great.

"Mel! Wait up." I pause mid-stride as I hear my name called. "Where are you going?"

"To the loo. Wanna come?" I ask Linnea once I've turned around to face her.

"Yeah, yeah. I need to fix my makeup or something."

Linnea trails closely behind me as I weave through the crowd. I know I saw a loo over here somewhere... Aha!

I push open the door and wait for Linnea to wobble on in ahead of me. Her heels are too high for her to walk in when she's sober, so how the hell did she exactly think she could walk in them while drunk? Once locked in a stall, she begins to ramble.

"You look great tonight, Mel. I don't know if I've told you or not."

"Thanks, you too."

"I need to shag a lad tonight."

"Oh no you don't." I chuckle, her British accent thickening with the more intoxicated she gets.

"I do though! I might try that tall one with the green eyes. What's his name?"

I step out of the stall and immediately find her sitting on the floor. I roll my eyes at her laziness before walking towards the sinks.

"Harry." I answer before quickly washing and drying my hands off. "And you need to chill and figure out if you want to stay with Niall or get with Ivan. Don't drag another guy down into that messy little head of yours."

"Harry what?"

"I don't know." I shrug and extend my hand to help her up from the pristine floor. "I forgot. But don't ignore me."

"You always forget!" She whines before grasping onto my hand. "And I wasn't ignoring you, just selective hearing."

"You have a damn boyfriend, Linnea!"

"Soooo? I can still-"

"No."

"Yes!"

"No! Now go back out there and find Niall. You can shag him, lord knows you will and I'll have to suffer through it all night." I roll my eyes and shove her out into the crowded club.

We get back to our table and everyone seems to be there, sitting and swaying to the too loud music.

I've never really been one for parties, but Damien had always dragged me to these outings saying, "You need to go outside more. Maybe then you wouldn't be so bitchy."

Ah, love.

Even though I went outside and attended these godforsaken things, I was still a moody person. I just don't really like people. Most people are ignorant and incompetent fools that I'd love to just off.

"Have you heard?" Liam asks seriously as I sit down beside him.

"Heard what?" I contemplate saying something witty and sarcastic, but I just barely contained myself before answering.
