DAMONS P.O.V

I am lying here awake next to Elena, bored out of my mind, but I don't think she even knows that I'm here. If she wakes up and sees me here she'll freak out like there is no tomorrow. Aw well, who cares, it's worth the risk, i'll do anything to lie in bed with her.

Oh crap, she just rolled over onto me, now she is using my chest as a pillow, oh thank god she is still asleep or she would flip! But I secretly think that she loves me just as much as I love her, except I'm IN love with her.

ELENAS P.O.V

"Damon?!? What the hell are you doing here?" I say after I realise that I was lying on his chest. " I was enjoying the piece and quiet AND not to mention the pleasure of you sleeping on my chest, by the way, did you enjoy hitting me in the face with a pillow?" Damon said while rubbing his nose, as if to show me that it hurt. "Oh and by the way, you are coming to my place after you have a shower and have breakfast." He said "What about school? I need to go you know." "Yes but I don't care, now hurry up and get dressed Elena, or you can come to mine naked." He said with that flirtatious smirk on his face, the one that I always want to see because I love it.

DAMONS P.O.V

Elena and I have just pulled up out the front of the boarding house, when I realise that I forgot to tell her to pack her things so she can stay for a couple days. "Elena, we need to go back to your place so we can get some of your stuff." "Wait, why do I need to bring my stuff over here? I'm just here for the day aren't i?" She said with a confused look in here face, and then it hit me, I also forgot to tell her that Stefan has had a taste of human blood and is heartbroken, AND he is also seeking revenge, and he has his humanity switch off so if he wants revenge against Elena he is going to kill her. "Stefan has his humanity switch turned off cause he is heartbroken and wants to kill you and he has also had some human blood and now can't stop drinking it." I tell Elena truthfully. "WHAT?!?? Why??? And why do I have to stay here? He can get in and this is the first place he'll look." She said "Yeah I know, that's why I had Matt sign the deeds to the house so no vampire can get in unless he or she is invited in. Oh, yeah you still need to be invited in don't you?" I say trying to piss her off, "Oh shut up, and good idea, but won't Stefan just lure Matt outside and kill him or just compel him into letting him in?" she asks, "That's why I had Matt drink 3 cups of coffee filled to the brim with vervain." I tell her, "Oh, smart and sarcastically funny, I think I might be falling in love with you mr. Damon Salvatore." she says sarcastically "Really? well if that was a joke, I just want you to know that I love you, Elena, and I always will, no matter what, and that I am truly looking forward to the day that you say 'I love you' back to me." I say as if my life depended on it.

ELENAS P.O.V

Wow, I feel like Damon just poured his heart out to me, then again he probably did as he has done a thousand times before on a daily basis. I also feel a little scared because Stefan has hurt me once before and he is a lot stronger than me, so if he tried to kill me, there is no doubt that he would end up successful. (as a human I was quite weak, so as a vampire I am a little stronger, but no where near as strong as Stefan.) But I don't think Damon will take his eye off me, and if I do end up running in to Stefan, there is no hope in the world that I'll survive unless Damon saves me, and there Is no doubt that he will save me because he loves me more than his own life, and I know that he will do anything to protect me.
