Kaga lay in the snow, her eyes unfocused. A small sound was escaping her throat, as her mouth opened, and closed, seemingly trying to form words. The thing occupying Mio's body looked at her with an almost pitying expression. After a moment, Kaga stirred. "Give him back" her words quivered, voice high pitched and hoarse. The thing looked puzzled. "What do you mean? He's already gone." It lifted its arm and pointed at its head, then pantomimed chewing, "I ate him." Kaga shuddered, and violently shook her head. "Give him back," she repeated, her body twitching, fingers curling into the snow. The thing let out a sigh, and started to walk towards her. "I suppose your mind was broken. Were you that close to him?" It stood over her, readying its bow. "Iram won't be happy with this, but orders are orders." It took a light arrow, before pausing to look at it. Seemingly unsatisfied, it tossed it aside, then pulled back the bow's string. Instantly, an arrow made of an ominous blue light appeared, notched and ready. "This arrow is specially enchanted. It won't kill, only stun. Consider it an act of mercy."
Kaga was writhing upon the ground, a low moan coming out of her mouth, which then rose into a fever pitch. Suddenly, she looked up, her eyes a bright white, face contorted into extreme hatred. "Give him back!" Kaga tuned her mana to wind, and pushed with everything she had. A brutal gale suddenly exploded out from her body, uprooting trees and smashing boulders. The thing, Tenecor, was flung back like a limp rag, before slamming straight into a rock. Tenecor gasped, eyes widening in shock, the wind pinning him in place. Kaga arched her back, and a pair of glowing wings sprouted from her. Instantly, they began to flutter at an incredibly fast rate, lifting Kaga from the ground. "You will return Mio!" she growled, increasing the intensity of her wind magic. Tenecor gritted his teeth, and slowly lifted his bow, aiming it at one of her wings. "This body isn't his, anymore. It's mine!"
He let go of the enchanted arrow, and it shot forward too fast for Kaga to see. It connected with her wing, instantly numbing it, and she started to fall. Grunting with effort, she tuned her mana to life, and began to rapidly expelling the magic from her wing. With her wind magic no longer being produced, Tenecor lightly landed on his feet, and pulled back his bow string, another enchanted arrow appearing pre-notched. Kaga had already finished healing her wing, however, and tuned her mana to fire. As Tenecor shot his enchanted arrow, she threw a Fireball, and the two projectiles collided with each other. Tenecor's arrow easily shredded through the fire magic, shooting straight at Kaga. Predicting this, Kaga had already tuned her mana to shadow. She held up a hand, a vortex of shadow appearing in her palm, and the arrow shot straight into the abyss, having been absorbed. Tenecor cocked his head in confusion, and Kaga lifted her other hand, another vortex appearing. From this black orb, his enchanted arrow shot out, on a direct collision course with Tenecor: aimed at his heart.
His eyes widened, and he jumped out of the way just in time for it to collide with his leg. The limb was instantly numbed, and he fell, rolling into a crouch. "You're stronger than you were a few minutes ago? I guess I can't capture you unless I am fighting to kill," Tenecor said, drawing back his bowstring. A black enchanted arrow appeared, and he instantly shot it at Kaga. Realizing this arrow was different, Kaga barely managed to dodge it, and it whizzed past her head. Instantly, she noticed it curve, and correct its course back to her. Realizing it was locked onto her, Kaga tuned her mana to earth, and dove straight into the ground. She shot straight through, a hole having formed from where she tunneled into the snow and ice. The arrow tried following her underground, but the opening where she entered instantly closed up after her. The arrow shattered against the ground trying to pursue its target. Where it hit the ground, the snow evaporated, and the stone beneath turned black.
Tenecor narrowed his eyes, and backed up against the boulder he was initially thrown against. Gritting his teeth, he placed his hand against the ground, and poured necrotic energy into it. Beneath the snow, the stone began to crack and blacken from the effects of the death magic. Immediately after, the ground began to rumble, causing the snow on nearby trees and boulders to fall. Tenecor stood up, readying his bow, scanning his surroundings in all directions for Kaga to emerge. The rumbling fell silent: Tenecor drew his arrow, trying to predict where she would most likely burst up. The snow beneath his feet started to melt, revealing the stone turning a harsh red, and he looked down. A massive gout of flame burst up from where he was standing, instantly enveloping Tenecor in flame. He cried out in pain and flung himself to the side, having been badly burned. Kaga flew out from the hole her flames created, and hovered a few feet above Tenecor. Coughing, Tenecor laughed as Kaga clapped her hands together, preparing a Firebolt.
