~~~~~~~~~Iv's POV~~~~~~~~~
I walked through town, slightly gripping my bag as I thought about where I was heading. I took a deep breath, trying to relax myself.
My mind went back to last year; the whole Ryan situation still affected us today. But you couldn't exactly blame us for it.
Aiden suffered more than any of us. Yeah, I used to care about Ryan back when we were kids, but after everything he did, I couldn't make myself care about him anymore.
But my brother, of course, is a different case. I always did tell him to let it go, that all of this would only end up hurting him.
But did he listen? No, of course he didn't, the stubborn asshole.
But then again, maybe I'm worse than he is.
I let out a sigh. I can't tell him about this, I know how he'd react. How angry he would get.
I know what you're thinking: Aiden is the kindest, most forgiving person in the world. And I agree, he's way too forgiving for his own good.
But this? This is something I know for a fact he wouldn't forgive me for. Not when I've been hiding it for so long.
I looked at my destination: the prison building. It had been a few months since I last visited. She was probably not too happy to see me either.
Entering the building, a guard quickly stopped me. Before he could say anything though, I pulled out my ID card, showing it to him. He gave me a small nod and let me walk down the hall.
I entered one of the rooms. "Slot 5." said one of the guards to me, and I walked over to where I was told to. I sat on the chair, rubbing my neck as I let out a sigh. I was always nervous about these visits, but I couldn't show it. Not in front of her.
Behind the thick glass in front of me were two guards walking over, a familiar girl standing in between.
Her long black hair moving as she walked, her bangs covering half of her face. Her deep blue eyes staring at me as a smirk spread across her face.
I glared back at her, my posture straight.
She sat down at the other side, the guards standing a few feet behind.
"Ivangelys! I haven't seen you in forever!" She greeted, her smile sweet yet mischievous. "You look different, did you get a haircut?"
"I did. I see you haven't changed, Ashley."
"Yeah, well, there aren't many options in here." Her tone grew a bit serious.
I rolled my eyes. Her eyes squinted a bit, looking at me. "Why do you continue to visit me, Iv?"
I waited a bit, thinking of what to say. "You might be a murderous she-devil, but we're still family, aren't we?"
"I highly doubt someone that cared about their cousin would sent them to this shithole." She said, anger noticeable in her tone.
I didn't flinch, keeping my glare on her. "I couldn't let you continue what you started. I still can't."
"It's not as if it was entirely my fault, now is it~?" She leaned forward, placing her arms on the desk. "It was you who started this whole situation~"
"It was accidental."
"Was it though~? Or is that what you want to believe~?"
"It wouldn't have gotten out of hand if you hadn't stepped in!"
"But nothing would've happened if you hadn't started it in the first place~!"
I was gonna argue back, when I felt a sudden cold rush through my body, my eyes shifting color for a split second.
I remained quiet, slightly gripping my bag. I stood up, a serious glare on my face. "We're done here."
As I spoke, the two guards went back to Ashley, grabbing her arms as she stood up, starting to walk away with her.
I let out a heavy sigh, leaving the building as I passed a hand through my hair.
I hated to face the fact that she was right...
