It's been over a year since all the chaos ended. A peaceful time, where everything seemed normal.
But darkness...
There he stood, in front of the mirror, biting his lip as his mind wandered around. Noah and Sage had been planning this for a while now, all they had to do was to wait.
He took a deep breath, heading downstairs. A few party decorations hung around the place. Aiden had a shift at his work, and Iv was waiting for Alyse to finish her art classes, so they'd be home in only a bit.
Noah went downstairs where Sage placed a bunch of plates of freshly made pastries. She looked over after letting out a sigh. "How much time do we have?"
"Maybe five to ten minutes?"
Sage took off her apron, placing it on the hanger. "We should be good, then."
He walked over to the counter. "You think they'll like this?"
"Why wouldn't they?"
"I'm just asking."
That's when they heard the door open, both twins looking at it to see the others walk in. Alyse's eyes light up at the sight of the pastries while Aiden and Iv looked around a bit confused.
"Surprise!" Sage said in excitement as she picked up Alyse in her arms.
Aiden walked over to her, kissing his girlfriend's cheek. "Um, what's all this for?"
She smiled at him. "Well, we didn't really do anything last year for it, and Noah and I still feel like we owe you all so much for what you've done for us."
"So we decided to throw a small party for the two year anniversary of the first day we met." Noah finished her explanation.
Alyse cheered in excitement before hugging both twins. "Thank you!!!"
As she ran over to the baked goods, Aiden looked at them. "You guys really didn't have to.."
Sage grabbed his hands, placing a gentle kiss on his lips. "We wanted to.. You've done so much for us, for me.. God knows where we'd be now if we hadn't met you all.."
He smiled, gently pulling her into a hug. "Well, I love it.. Thank you.."
Smiling softly, she snuggled against his chest, keeping each other close.
Noah walked over to Iv who had joined Alyse in the pastry devouring competition. He couldn't help but chuckle, seeing a bit of frosting on his cheek. "Enjoying?"
"I like sugar."
"Oh, I know." He gently wiped away the frosting, making her turn a little pink in embarrassment. He then looked down, slipping his hands into his pockets. "Anyways, I wanna show you something."
"What is it?"
He nodded for her to follow before walking outside. Confused about it, Iv still followed.
They didn't walk too far until they reached a part of the forest that had fairy lights hanging from the trees, all sorts of flowers around the place along with fireflies flying around it. Her eyes widened at the sight, seeing the small picnic blanket on the center. "Noah.."
He gently placed his hands on each of her shoulders. "Well..? What do you think..?"
"It's beautiful..!"
Smiling a bit, he led her over to the blanket, both of them sitting down. She looked around with a soft smile, her eyes glimmering at the lights. He smiled at his cheeks grew pink, she was so beautiful..
"Anyways, I uh.. wanted to actually give you something.."
She looked at him, tilting her head in curiosity. He slightly bit his lip before forming a small green orb in his hands. Slowly, it morphed into a blooming flower.
Its petals started from a red to yellow, glowing as small sparks orbited around it. Her eyes widened at its beauty, it was gorgeous..!
"I've been growing this for a few months now, I wanted you to have it.."
"E-Em, I.. You didn't have to.."
"I wanted to.. This flower reminds me of you.. Not only does it have a relationship with fire, but it's one that will always stay blooming no matter the time or place, like a flame that will never be put out.."
He reached over, placing it behind her ear, her cheeks a dark pink. "Just like you.. You're my beautiful fire flower.."
She stared at him for a while before throwing her arms around him, hugging him tightly. He jumped a bit in surprise before chuckling softly, hugging her back.
"You're so cheesy..."
"Is that bad..?"
She snuggled against his neck with a smile. "No.."
Resting his head on hers, he looked up at the sky, smiling at the moment. But he grew even darker at her words.
"I love you, Noah... so much..."
He stayed quiet for a few seconds, his smile soon returning as he snuggled against her head. "I love you, too, Iv... more than you'll ever know..."

Alyse went up to her room, searching around her room. She had been working on a painting she wanted to show the others, and kept it in her closet so no one else would see.
As she reached for it, she found a small picture of her parents, her expression falling a bit.
She quickly shook her head, taking the painting and running downstairs. "Hey guys, I wanna show you something!!"
