The break had just begun, and even though I saw some of class 1-A's students across the mall a few times during my own shopping spree, I didn't expect the whole class to be there. Luckily, I ran into Uraraka, Momo, Jiro and Tsuyu instead of a bunch of boys (Bakugo Katuski, to be specific).
Yaoyorozu quickly said that they were out getting swim suits and a few other things for the training camp they were all going to for the break, and I myself replied that I was just here for fun. It was good to get out of the house every once and a while.
"The training camp should be fun." I smiled lightly, "Though Iwazumi-san told me it's a lot of harsh quirk training."
"Yeah, either way I'm looking forward to it!"
Uraraka cheered, "I'm gonna get super strong!"
Yaoyorozu laughed hesitantly, "Yes. It's too bad you can't come with us, Mitsuha."
"That's alright. Besides, my parents would never let me go." I admitted.
"Awe really?" Jiro frowned, "Over protective parents huh? That sucks."
It does, it most certainly sucks in a way they'd never understand. Though, my parents did have a reason to be so protective.
"Well, we should get going and meet with the others." Tsuyu smiled, "We'll see you when school starts again, Mitsuha! Have a great day!"
I waved lightly as they all left the store, and I watched them go.
I sighed as I pulled out my mothers grocery list from my back pocket. When I said I wanted to go out, she assumed that meant she could ask me to go grocery shopping for her, and so now I had to walk to the side of the mall I didn't want to go to just to get the things she needed.
Besides, it's not like I have a car to put all this shit in - I still have to walk or take a bus, and I'd really rather not be an inconvenience for the strangers around me.
But because I didn't have much of a choice, I got the groceries and opted to walk home.
The mall was apparently shut down right as I was leaving, since there was a flurry of people and loud chatter as they all grouped around to ask what was going on. It must have been some kind of villain sighting, and I quickly left the parking lot before it got too crowded.-
Half way home, I frowned at the weight on my arms. I hoped the plastic bags wouldn't break from the banana's, because then I would probably lose my shit and start yelling profanities.
"Jeez, if only I could drive..." I sighed, thinking of how luxurious that would be.
Soon, the sound of my footsteps against the pavement wasn't the only sound near by, and even though I new that today would be a busy day where lots of people would be around walking, I still thought the worst.
Looking behind me, I saw the same masked man as before, glaring at me from a ways away.
Quickly turning back around, I tried to pick up my pace. This time there was no Bakugo to hide behind, or anyone to hide behind really."You can't always rely on others to save you."
I clenched my teeth, daring to look back again, my eyes bulged at how close he was and the bags of groceries fell from my grip as he grabbed me and dragged me towards an alley.
I grunted, struggling against his grip and trying
to elbow him in the face. He shoved me into the alley and I punched him with my quirk before he could say anything, but trying to run again proved to be futile when he grabbed my waist and moved me back in front of him."Shut up already, jeez! We can do this the easy way, alright?"
"No, we can't!" I hissed, quickly pressing the alert button on the watch Iwazumi got me at the beginning of the year, telling me that it would give her my location when I was in trouble and it was so subtle that the villain wouldn't be able to get angry at me for it.
"Why not?" He asked, stepping forward and narrowing his eyes, "I just want to ask you a few questions, just like last time."
"Last time? You're the same-?!" I ducked out of the way as he tried shoving a cloth in my face, which most likely had some drug rubbed on it that would knock me out, "You'd think you would have learned from last time!"
He scoffed, "Yeah, I did. I learned how to do better."
I looked up into his eyes, which was my biggest mistake. He had a quirk I couldn't block.
-
Luckily though, he couldn't read my mind or put me under mind control or anything. He was no hypnotist, and seemed to only be able to put me to sleep or make me feel ill.
I swallowed, sighing as I took in the dimly lit room. It was an unfinished abandoned building somewhere and there were a bunch of open windows above that were the only source of light around.
"Now that your awake, dear Iume-chan, we can begin!" The man grinned, his mask still on and his hood still up.
"Begin what?" I asked, rolling my eyes.
"You know what." He hissed, his fists clenching, "So, let's get right down to business, shall we? I can't waist any time fooling around."
Shit. He knows I want to wait it out for rescue. That's what anyone would want.
"You're friends quirks, what are they?" He asked, getting straight to the point and I was really tempted to ask why first, but I decided that I could annoy him with something else.
"What friends? I don't have any."He scoffed, stepping back and tilting his head up as he groaned. He paused to look at me, before walking to the side towards a pillar, where he picked up a baseball bat.
I tensed and shifted slightly as he stomped back over to me with a look of anger that could probably even trump Bakugo's.
"I'm not going to listen to your fucking bullshit this time around alright?! I'm getting paid a lot of money for this, so you better come clean and tell me the UA hero classes quirks!" He held up the bat to threaten me, "Or else."
I scoffed, smirking slightly with the last ounce of bravery I had left, "I'm untouchable. You couldn't hurt me even if you tried."
"Liar!" He screamed, and I quickly activated my quirk around me as he swung the bat towards my head.
The weapon banged off the shield but he just brought it back down again, and again, and again. I shut my eyes and tried to focus as he yelled at me, "Keep acting tough all you want, but your just a weak little girl! Even if I couldn't hurt you physically, I'll break you mentally you little bitch!"
"Mitsuha!"
"Hands in the air!"
"Fuck!"
I took a breath, relaxing and letting down my shield as Iwazumi pounced on the man and took him out. The police flooded in with shields and guns in hands, but it was only me and the offender, who only stopped cursing when Iwazumi used her quirk to shut him up.
A young woman in a bullet proof vest and jeans - a detective most likely - ran out from behind the police brigade and started to untie me.
"Finally." I breathed.
