When Aizawa came to me after a training session and asked me if I'd like to come to watch the class get their provincial hero licenses, he flinched at how my face brightened.

"Really?! My parents would let me?!"

"Yes, Iwazumi-san spoke to them."

"YES! I WANT TO GO!"

"Alright then, it's settled."

And that's how I ended up running up to Uraraka and cheering with her about how I got to come along on their trip. I'd been watching them all work on their special moves and I was more than excited to see them all put their practice into real action. I was confident that everyone would do well and get their licenses without a doubt. They were all such a powerful passionate class, after all.

Iida called for everyone to file on the bus and I giggled as Uraraka made a weird face and said she was gonna do her best. She paused and blinked at something behind me, which just so happened to be a blunt faced Bakugo who stated;

"You're sitting with me."

"Eh? But what if I wanna sit with Uraraka?"

"No." He replied, grabbing my wrist and pulling me onto the bus.

I sighed, deciding to just roll with it. He sat in the window seat since I demanded the isle seat, and Uraraka sat behind me and Todoroki beside. The bus started up and the grumpy puppy sat silently beside me as I talked with Todoroki and Uraraka. Mostly Todoroki though, since he had started a conversation about his suit.

"Yeah, I saw the changes. It's much better, just what I was thinking!"

"What were you thinking, exactly though?" Uraraka asked.

"Mostly a colour change, and getting rid of that ice cover. It was cool, but a bit too plain."

"I see." Todoroki nodded, "I do like this new suit much better. I have more freedom to move."

"I'm glad you made the change, and accepted your fire quirk too. You're gonna be really powerful someday!"

"Not any more powerful than the almighty King Explosion Murder, though?"

I rose a brow, knowing Ururaka was referring to how passionate I was about Bakugo winning the sports festival - but what really threw me off was 'King Explosion Murder' - which I knew would most likely be his failed attempt at making a hero name.

I slowly turned back around to face the male, "King Explosion Murder? Really?"

"WHAT?! You got a problem with it too?!"

"Well... it could use work..."

"Anyways, Mitsuha." Todoroki began, and when I turned back to look at him he seemed hesitant, "I'm sorry about avoiding you. I was going through some things around the time of the sports festival. Please forgive my rudeness. You didn't deserve it."

My eyes widened and I quickly shook my hands in the air, "N-no, it's okay, Todoroki, I understand!"

"Like hell it's okay you asshole half and half bastard! What did you do?!"

"Bakugo, seriously." I sighed, leaning away from him.

"Yeah King Explosion Murder, you only have to protect her against villains - we're on your side."

"SHUT UP AND STOP CALLING ME THAT YOU AIR HEAD!"

I swallowed, turning from the competition and my notes to Aizawa,

"Do you guys have a history?" I dared to ask him, glancing at Ms. Joke as she laughed off another one of his harshly deadpanned rejections.

"No." He hissed, "Want any thing to drink?"

"Um... I like strawberry milk, if there is any. If not, just a juice box of any flavour is fine."

He stood up abruptly, and took an exaggerated breath before walking off to go inside and find a vending machine. I swallowed and tried to discretely look to the other pro hero who sat five seats away and had on a painful smile.

"O-kay..." I mouthed, turning back to the competition. Luckily there was a break soon, and I could get away from all the awkwardness of Ms. Joke being here and continuously asking Aizawa to marry her.

Of course, Aizawa seemed like a great guy but... what did someone like Ms. Joke, a super peppy extroverted woman see in him? Introvert 101 who just napped all the time? Even Iwazumi-sensei said he would need a special breed to be a good enough fit for him.

But maybe... she was over exaggerating...

After the horrendous experience of watching Bakugo and Todoroki fail miserably, Todoroki suffering much worse because of his emotions taking over and forcing him to fight against someone he should have been working with, Aizawa and I stood and headed out to meet everyone by the buses to see their results.

They would have to get their pictures done as
well, so it would be a while before they all gathered out front.

I frowned as I put my notebook away in my bag and glanced at the pack of spicy Doritos I got at a vending machine earlier to congratulate Bakugo with once he got his license. Now that he had failed to do it, I wondered if maybe I should just forget about it. But the more I thought over what happened and his faults in the tests - especially the rescue tests - I realized that he tried his best being the excessively aggressive person he is.

The way he kept saying 'Save yourselves' was just code for 'you're not injured enough that I need to put my main focus on you, so get to safety and I'll continue on looking for others who need my help'.

I ducked my head in defeat, no one would ever understand that...

"What do you think?" Aizawa asked, standing beside me as some of the girls began to walk out, "How did they do?"

"They did good. Of course they all had struggles and set backs, like Midoriya panicking and Uraraka forgetting to properly judge her surroundings, but being able to work with each other and learn from their faults was definitely comemerable. They earned their licences for sure." I paused, tilting my head as I sighed,
"As for Todoroki... I guess it was a two person effort of him and that other boy that caused all that ruckus. And Bakugo... he just needs to calm the hell down. But other than his fowl mouth, I think he actually did really well, especially in the first test."

"You can say that again." Aizawa chuckled, "You're really smart, kid."

"Ah, thank you!"

-

Bakugo froze up as I held out the spicy Doritos to him and smiled, congratulating him.

"But I didn't get my provincial license? And - wh-why the hell are you buying me shit in the first place! Don't do that again!" He yelled, snatching the bag from my hands and quickly opening it.

I breathed a laugh at his reaction, "Sure you didn't get your license, but you still did your best, and that should be celebrated right? Also, you've done a lot for me so... I wanted to." I tapped the end of my shoe on the floor in nervousness, "But if you don't want me to spend money on you, I won't."

He grumbled to himself, ripping open the bag, "Whatever. Thanks. Now come on, you're sitting beside me again."

"Do I have to?"

"I'm the body guard, okay? We're off campus."

I sighed, but couldn't help the smile. He took pride in his work, which was a special trait of his.

On the way home, Mina sat across from me and we had our phones out in front of us with our notes page open, giggling as we wrote out a "Bakugo's vocabulary dictionary".

"Oh-oh- what does he mean when he says "I'll kill you!"?" She asked in a light whisper.

I hummed in thought and Bakugo interrupted me, "HEY! What are you doing? Is that about me?!"

"Bakugo, give the girl some privacy!" Kirishima called from in front of us, resulting in a pouty, fuming little man with his arms crossed and eyes glaring at the passing scenery as Mina and I continued.

"Oh, I know!" She suddenly said, "It means "I like you."!"
