I was in the middle of a routine in the gym when I stopped myself. I coughed lightly, taking a few deep breaths as I thought about the things I haven't had time to think about yet.
The man who was trying to kidnap me worked for my father, I'd met him numerous times when my mother took me in to pick him up at work. He was kind, simple, and always gave me a sucker even when I was too old for them. If he had been 'sent' to pick me up, that means that my father is now a suspect for the reason this is all happening.
Actually, who am I kidding. He is the reason this is all happening.
I moved away from the dumbbells, going to sit on the bench beside my water and a small towel. I clasped my hands together, thinking about the recent times I've spent with my father, and all the things he said and the way he reacted to certain things I said.
"Stay away from the hero's..." I whispered to myself, shutting my eyes, "I can't believe this."
"Mitsuha! You can't run off without saying anything!"
I stiffened, turning to face Bakugo. He looked angry, but his anger faltered as I frowned, blinking back tears, "It's my dad, Bakugo."
"Huh? Your dad? What happened to him?"
I shook my head, "No, I mean, it's my dad. It's his fault! All of this - everything I've suffered up till now, it's all his fault!"
He stood shocked, his eyes moving to the side as he thought about what I was saying, "The... kidnappings?" He asked, my words clicking.
I nodded, standing, "He's the mastermind behind it, which means he's working with villains! He might even be working with the league-" I cut myself off, my shoulders slumped as my mind whirled, "What if I'm-he's the reason... you got kidnapped? I told him about you!"
"Okay, calm down." He quickly said, coming up to me and placing his hands on my arms, "It's not your fault."
"Yes it is! All of this- I trusted him! I trusted my parents even though I hated listening to their lectures about heroes! I should have known - I shouldn't have been so stupid and-"
He shushed me, but I screamed anyways, covering my face and lowering myself to the ground. He followed me, pulling me into his chest and continuing to try and calm me down.
He was by no means good at it, but it was better than nothing - after all, Katsuki was my very own, specially selected hero.
I guess my parents weren't wrong about him. It must have been my mother who made the choice, after all, since my father would never have chosen someone so strong with his plans.
"I promise, I'll protect you." He mumbled as I sucked in breaths, "And I will blow that asshole to shreds!"

I tapped my pencil against my lip slowly, staring down at my note book, the current page half full. I was studying for an upcoming project that Iwazumi-sensei had assigned us.
I was usually good at writing papers, but this time I couldn't write about class 1-A or 1-B, and I had been assigned some ancient hero instead.
Luckily, his quirk is the oddest thing ever.
Shrugging, I decided to temporarily give up and dropped my pencil, picking up my box of strawberry milk.
I glanced at Bakugo across from me, for some reason when he saw me studying alone he decided to come sit with me. I wondered if he did most of the (relatively) nice things he did now only because he was worried I'd isolate myself and cry on my own and then maybe do something to hurt myself. It probably wasn't because he wanted to see me happy or something soppy and romantic like that.
Bakugo wasn't really the romantic type, obviously.
The male cleared his throat, stopping his writing to look up at me without moving his head, "Why are you staring at me, creep?"
"I'm not a creep, creep."
He actually moved to look at me this time, "Who you calling a creep, creep?!"
"You! Creep!"
I snorted, and he backed down as I giggled at how stupid and childish we sounded. At this rate, his anger was more humorous than scary.
Sometimes, I liked to watch him scream incoherencies because of something small someone said, he was just overly dramatic and it was more cute if you knew him enough to know he didn't actually mean the things he said literally.
He set his pencil down, "Alright then, nerd, since we're not studying anymore. You still do research on our quirks right?"
I nodded quickly.
"I want to see my stuff then." He sat back and crossed his arms, and my eyes widened at his sudden interest. I smiled, trying not to let my excitement show as I quickly reached into my bag - considering he hated how much Midoriya acted in situations like this, I didn't want him telling me I was annoying him.
"Here!" I stood, laying the notebook down and pointing to all I had written on him.
I had the page tabbed and labeled "king explosion murder" and after listing all his quirks uses and draw backs, he flipped through seeing the pages of his costume that I'd drawn out, as well as his success at the sports festival.
I even wrote about the move he made when he was rescued by Kirishima - how he blasted himself into the air and flew to where he needed to be.
"Wow. This is... a lot."
"You're number one after all!" I grinned, leaning forward again and flipping a few pages back to the notes about the sports festival,
"I knew you were going to win the sports festival from the beginning, and even though people look down on you for your attitude at the provincial license exam, I knew that you were by no means a rescue hero anyways. I think, you're better in the moment - when you're actually fighting. You're a combat hero, Bakugo-kun, rescuing is a small part of your overall greatness, that, sure you need to work on, but you would still triumph in the hero world. Once you get your license and graduate, I'm sure you'll have your own agency in no time at all! The combat hero Bakugo Katsuki, the future number one! There's no way around it!""Wow." He sighed, "I got most of that. You talk too fast, like stupid Deku."
I faltered, "O-oh, sorry about that."
He shook his head, and I noticed the blush on his cheeks, "Don't worry about it. You're not annoying like him. Thanks for... all the compliments."
I rose a brow, "I was just telling the truth, they weren't really that complimenting, were they?"
"ARE YOU THAT DENSE?!"
