Patrick's POV
When I woke up, I found Miku, Taylah and Vicky in front of me. I was confused. I couldn't remember how I got there.
I was in my King sized bed, tucked in nicely. It was still raining outside.
"Hey Pat," Miku said. She sat down beside me. "You fell over somehow. We came over to look after you while Alec went out for work."
"I think you should just stay put," Taylah suggested. "You've already been hurt. More than a couple of times."
I gave a small laugh but I couldn't help but to feel lonely. To feel empty. I didn't know what I needed or wanted but I just felt so...numb.
"Maybe you should and see Maddy," Vicky suggested.
"Who?"
They look between each other with worry.
"She was our friend..." Miku said, placing a hand onto Vicky's shoulder. She must've been her best friend. "She passed away."

Taylah drove me to the cemetery. There, in front of me, was Maddy's grave. A flute was carved in above her name "Maddy Smith". It was somewhat familiar. But nothing really came to me yet.I placed down the flowers in front of the grave. White lillies.
Maddy Smith. The flute. Death. Water. Drowning. Alex. Funeral. Everything was coming back to me now.
That kiss at the funeral. How it felt to be with Alex. I gasped, standing upright.
I brushed the rain off of my eyes and ran. Just ran. To where my heart led me. Before I knew it, I was in front of Alex's house, dripping with rain water.
I could imagine Maddy sitting there on the couch with him. As if I had flashbacks to the third chapter. I hesitated by the door. Last time I didn't knock. I was too scared to. I just got up and left. But I was different this time. I knocked with confidence. Alex jolted with shock, then came to the door. When he opened it, he looked towards Patrick with so much love that the world seemed to stop.
"Patrick?" he asked. The brunette boy faced him with tears in his eyes.
"Alex," he answered.
"You're back," he cried, bringing him into a tight embrace. Patrick was home. This was his true home.
"I love you. I-I'm so sorry for leaving. You're my one and only," Patrick pleaded. Alex just laughed, as if they finally made it through the storm.
They shared a kiss for the first time in forever. Both boys knew that this was the happiest moment in their life. Nothing could get better than this.
But little did they know that there was someone watching intently.
