(Olivia's POV)
I wake up to my alarm clock. I turn over and look at the time, "6:00 A.M", I say tiredly as I get up out of bed. I stretch and yawn, looking in the bed to see James not next to me. I shrug my shoulders, "He didn't have work today", I say to myself. I then walk downstairs, careful not to wake up Sophia and Caleb. I get to the bottom to see James on his laptop, typing something, "What are you doing up so early?", I ask softly. James looks up from his computer, smiling, "Morning honeybee, how did you sleep?", he asks as he goes back to typing on his computer. I yawn and get some coffee, "Fine, you?", I ask as I walk over to him. James rubs his eyes, sighing, "Good just tired", he says. I then sit on the couch next to him, holding my coffee, "Are you okay?", I ask him. James sighs, wrapping his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him, "Yeah, it's just this military thing I have to fill out", he says sadly. When I hear the word military, my body freezes into place, like I can't move, "What?", I ask alarmed. James looks up at me and nods, "Yes, I'm thinking about joining the military, I feel like a burden Olivia, me not working and not taking care of the kids, it's just better for me", he says sadly. I put my coffee on the table and put my hands on his cheeks, "James Alexander Brennan, you are not going to die in the war, I won't let you when we have two young kids that need a father", I say sadly. James smiles sadly, "I know but, I won't die, I promise, think positive, we will get enough money to keep Caleb in Harper's Elementary", he says happily. I roll my eyes and look at him, "James, you could be a police officer or something that won't kill you please, I know you want to help me but, all you need to do is work as a cashier until you get a better job, that's all I can say but don't join the military, Caleb and Sophia need you for when I'm at Agents Of Warriors", I say scared. James sighs, "Okay but, I then will join as a police officer, would that be fine with you?", he asks with a small smile. I shrug my shoulders, "I don't know, depends how dangerous it is", I say. James laughs, smiling, "Your job as an agent is dangerous, I don't see the difference here", he says. I sigh, smiling, "Well, just chose a good job that pays good money and one that you love", I say as I head up off the couch, taking my coffee. I then head upstairs, walking to our room, "Mommy", I hear Caleb say. I go back and look in Caleb's room to see Caleb sitting up in his bed, looking at me, "Yeah?", I ask as I walk into his room. Caleb gets out of bed, walking up to me, "I'm hungry", he says. I sigh, "Okay, let's go get some breakfast", I say as I take his hand, walking with him out of his room. I walk downstairs, holding Caleb's hand as we walk into the kitchen. I look to see James still on his computer, typing, "What are you still doing on that computer?", I ask as I start to make breakfast for Caleb. James ignores me and keeps on typing, "James, hello", I say as I look at James while giving Caleb his breakfast. James keeps typing, "James, what are you doing?", I ask as I walk over to him. James immediately x's out of the tab, "Nothing, just looking up some stuff", he says with a small smile on his face. I sigh, getting a sick feeling to my stomach, "James, is there something your not telling me?", I ask concerned. James sits up, putting his hands on my cheeks, rubbing my cheek with his thumb, "Olivia, I'm telling you the truth, I was just searching up information, please don't worry about me, worry about Caleb and Sophia", he says as he kisses me on the lips. I kiss him back, pulling away, "James, I should worry, I hope you didn't lie to me", I say as I walk away from him. I feel his hand grip my hand, pulling me towards him, "Liv, I feel like you don't trust me", he says sadly. I turn towards him, looking into his eyes, "James, I do trust you, I saw you click something away on your computer quickly, I know your not telling me something", I say softly. James shakes his head, not smiling, "I would never keep any secret from you, I love you too much to see you get hurt", he says softly. I smile softly, looking at him, "Promise me you won't ever lie to me", I say. James smiles, "I can't promise that", he says sadly. I raise my eyebrow, "Why not?", I ask confused. James sighs sadly, "I don't want to make the promise because what if I lie? ", he says. I look down, pushing my hair behind my ears, "Well, there is no reason to lie", I say softly. James raises my chin up so that I'm looking at him, "There is a reason, I want to keep you happy, that is all I want to do", he says softly. I smile, "Thank you but, don't try and make me happy, just don't keep anything important or serious from me, okay? Promise me that?", I ask. James hesitates before nodding, "I will never keep secret from you, no matter how big or small it is", he says as he takes his hands in his hands. I embrace him in a hug, staying that way for awhile, "I love you too, I always will", says James as he strokes my hair as I keep him in a hug. I the let go, smiling a little, "Well, I'm gonna get dressed, I'll be back", I say as I head upstairs. I walk into my room and pick out an outfit. I put on some ripped jeans with some flats and a striped shirt. I then head downstairs to see James playing around with Caleb, "Boogie monster is gonna get you", he says as he wiggles his fingers. Caleb laughs, "Nooooo", he says as he hops on the couch. James goes over to him, crouched down and tickles him, "AHHHH", he says, smiling. I smile, knowing kids was the only thing that made him happy, kids were the only thing he wanted. I keep smiling and head back upstairs to get Sophia from her nap, I get upstairs and walk into her room to see her still, spread out in her crib. I smile as I pick her up, laying her on my chest. Sophia yawns and snuggles on my chest, staying asleep, "Your a sleeper huh?", I say quietly as I rock her softly. I then lay her on the changing table, getting a flower dress and changing her out of her pj's. As I change her, she still keeps sleeping which is so interesting. I then lift her back up, laying her on my chest again, "Good Afternoon princess", I say softly as I see her open her eyes. I smile, thinking back to the memory when Sophia opened her eyes for the first time.
