(Jame's POV)
Past
"This is such a beautiful place James", says Olivia happily as we walk inside the bar, sitting at a table. I smile, "I knew you would like it here", I say with a smile as I sit next to her, holding her hand. We get our drinks and sit at the table, talking about good times, "You really haven't ziplined?", asks Olivia. I shake my head, "Nope, never have and maybe too scared too", I say softly. Olivia raises her eyebrows, "Okay, it's settled, you and I need to go zip lining before we have kids", she says. I smile, seeing Olivia smile with me, "Okay then, you sure you wanna have kids in the first place?", I ask with a small smile. Olivia sighs, "I don't know", she says softly. I smile, "It's okay, take your time, it's a big decision", I say. Olivia nods, "Hey, isn't this our wedding song?", I ask as I hear a song come on. Olivia looks up at me, "We had a wedding song?", she asks. I laugh, "Yeah, you don't remember?", I ask softly. Olivia shrugs her shoulders, "Didn't know we had a certain song", she says. I smile, getting up out of my chair and extending my hand out, "Wanna dance?", I ask. Olivia smiles, "Sure", she says as she takes my hand, getting up out of her seat. I put my hand on her waist, spinning her around, "You know I love you?", I ask as we dance, swaying softly on the dance floor. Olivia rests her head on my shoulder, swaying with the music, "I know that you tell me every day", she says. I smile, "I'll consider that ziplining trip if, you consider maybe having kids?", I ask softly. Olivia raises her head, "James", she says before I interrupt her, "Look, I know you aren't thinking about kids but, I wanna feel that experience, of being a father", I say. Olivia, "James, you know I don't want kids, we don't have time right now, your job as a firefighter isn't working out so well and for me, I don't have a job yet", she says. I twirl her around, her skirt flying softly as she comes back to me, "I know but, when we are in a good place, will you maybe consider it? I' ll consider the zipline trip if you consider having kids", I say. Olivia raises her eyebrows, "What kind of deal is that?", she asks. I chuckle, "I'm just kidding but, please have some thought in it", I say softly. Olivia sighs, "I'm not gonna wake up at 3 in the morning just to feed a baby", she says. I smile softly, '"I know but, at least have some thought in it", I say, looking at her with puppy dog eyes. Olivia raises her eyebrows, "Don't give me that look, James no", she says. I give her puppy dog eyes, quivering my bottom lip, "James no", she says, looking away. I stroke her cheek with my thumb, getting her to turn towards me and look at me, "Please, I will take care of them, I promise", I say. Olivia looks towards me, her brown eyes full of uncertainty, 'I'll think about it", she says softly. I sigh, "Olivia, your parents told me they want grandchildren, your sister isn't married yet, your brother doesn't want kids, I wanna give your parents a gift, for being my second family, I owe them", I say. Olivia looks into my soft brown eyes, "James but, my parents told me whenever I was ready", she says scared. I smile, looking into her soft beautiful brown eyes, "Oh yes! Of course when you're ready but, at least give it some thought?", I ask softly. Olivia sighs, "Okay, I'll give it some thought", she says. I smile, "Thank you honey bee", I say as I kiss her on the cheek, smiling at her. Olivia smiles softly, "How could I get married to such a lucky guy?", she asks softly. I smile, "You did and I got married to the most amazing woman ever", I say with a smile. Olivia smiles, blushing, "James", she says. I laugh, swaying her still on the dance floor, "How about we go ziplining tomorrow?", I ask with a smile. Olivia gasps, "Wait, really?", she asks excitedly. I smile, "Of course! We practically just got married so, I wanna do something together as Mr. and Mrs. Brennen", I say. Olivia hugs me, "Thank you so much!", she says happily. I smile and hug her back, knowing I'm the luckiest man alive.
Present
"How is she?", I ask nervously. The doctor sighs, "She is stable for now but, she lost some more oxygen to her brain so, that's why she passed out", he says. I nod, looking at her body just laying on the bed, weak and powerless, "When will she able to get out of the hospital?", asks Larry as he holds Sophia as she sucks on her binky in her footie pajamas, sleeping. The doctor looks at his charts, sighing, "Her blood pressure is pretty low at the moment, we need to keep her in at least for a week", he says softly. I sigh, rubbing my eyes, lacking sleep worrying about Olivia, "James, why don't you go home? I'll stay and call you if she wakes up", says Larry as he hands me, Sophia, sleeping. I take Sophia, smiling at her, "Okay, thank you so much, Larry!", I say as I head out of Olivia's room, getting my stuff and heading out.
