Greetings Pubbers,
Welcome to another week here in the Pub Universe!
Week 1 of our 4th annual Biggest Competition Ever is near an end and on behalf of both Myna and myself, I have to say that the response has been wonderful and it is so nice to see some of our veteran Pubbers drop by again and add their talents to our competition. It is also great to see some newcomers competing for the first time. Hopefully this competition will inspire more and more Pubbers to become a part of our competitions again, especially now, as the Poet of the Year competition is just a mere 10 weeks away.
The Poets Pub survives on the participation of our vast family of Pubbers and it is an inspiration to all to see us come together once again in this friendly competition.
FEATURED POEM
Being Brave At Night
By Edgar GuestThe other night 'bout two o'clock, or maybe it was three,
An elephant with shining tusks came chasing after me.
His trunk was wavin' in the air an' spoutin' jets of steam
An' he was out to eat me up, but still I didn't scream
Or let him see that I was scared - a better thought I had,
I just escaped from where I was and crawled in bed with dad.
