KING's POV

"I got this, boys." Enzo moved the knight.

"Oh man!" Ken was queenless.

"Ha-ha! Busted!"

"Who's yoh daddy now?"

"Drink it up, boy!"

"Let's throw out the first man down!"

"Shut up! Here we go!"

"Bottom's up! Bottom's up!"

Kasalukuyang naglalaro ng chess sina Ken at Enzo.

It's not just any ordinary chessboard game. The board is bigger in size and made of glass.

The chess pieces? Shot glasses.

Tequilla in the shot glasses.

Every glass has an engraved chess piece in it. Enzo had it personalized. Chess is his game.

So, well...its one hell of a chess board game.

Ang talo, lasing.

Tuwang-tuwa namang nangangantsaw sina Hanz, Drew at Zeus.

They are having a good time.

As for me...

I never had a good time since forever. Just this morning nang maisipan kong puntahan si Ms. Alonzo, my secretary.

That's the craziest thing I did. Before I even know it, I was knocking at her doorstep.

I didn't even know what I was doing there. It's just a feeling na parang gusto kong makitang maayos siya.

Somehow since last night, I feel so protective of her.

I even joined her at breakfast when I already had coffee and toasts.

I smiled at the thought of her...

She was wearing pajamas and fluffy slippers. Para siyang bata. But when I looked intently at her face... Her wavy hair unfixed, looking like she just got out of bed.

Man, that was absolutely sexy.

Tinungga ko ang beer na hawak ko.

I chuckled.

I must be crazy.

Maya-maya ay napansin kong parang naging tahimik ang paligid.

Iniangat ko ang mukha ko mula sa pagkakatitig sa bote.

The boys were all looking at me with wrinkled brows. Nagulat ako sa reactions nila.

"What?" kunot na noong tanong ko.

Hinimas-himas ni Enzo ang baba niya sa hitsurang parang nag-iisip. Zeus just raised a brow and the rest of them looked at me like I was in some experiment.

"You know...you're in a different mood today..." nagdududang saad ni Ken

"Yeah...you know...you're in a different mood today..." ulit ni Enzo, dahilan upang mapatingin ang lahat sa kanya.

"According to what we saw... I think you're in a different mood today..." Ken rolled his eyes nang magsalita rin si Hanz.

"I should pass a bill about originality to the congress." si Ken.

"But you know---" si Z

"Don't, Z." natatawang pigil ni Drew sa kanya.

Tuluyan nang nilubayan ng lima ang paglalaro nila ng chess. Napailing na lang ako pero hindi parin mapalis ang ngiti ko.

"She's pretty, right? Her hair, her eyes..." si Enzo

Tumangu-tango ako.

"Yeah..."

"And her...you know...her curves and all. Is she hot?"

Napaisip ako.

Is she hot?

Ah...yes... I remember the first day that she came into my office. Hindi ko pa rin mapigilan ang mapangiti pagkaalala sa reaksyon niya nang malaman niyang ako pala ang taong hinahanap niya.

I remember the feeling when I pictured in my mind what lies underneath those clothes. Her curves that made me almost lose myself in dreaming.

Damn...the thought of her alone is turning me on.

Nawala ang isip ko sa kakaisip sa kanya.

"Man...he's lost." si Z ang nagsalita na nagpabalik ng isip ko sa kasalukuyan.

"What the fuck? I can't believe it's a girl! Was it like..100 years ago or something?" si Ken

"I know right? I was just testing my wild guess. Hah! Holy shit!" si Enzo

I was lost in the moment. Shit! I tried to talk.

"Guys, that's not t---"

"Dude, buking ka na. It's too late to deny it." si Drew

"So what's her name?" tanong ni Hanz.

"Stop! Enough. I'm not telling you anything. Just shut up!" pikon na singhal ko sa kanila.

Tumayo ako at kumuha ng chips na nasa loob ng ref. Narinig ko pa rin ang hagikhikan ng lima.

"Seriously, just shut up about it."

"Oh boy. This is a serious case." si Enzo ulit.

Nakakaloko ang ngisi nito, Hanz was grinning worse.

The bastards...

They're not gonna let it go that easily.

"Boys...let's not push it. Let the man go. So, who wants to bet?" si Ken

"What are we betting for this time?" tanong ni Hanz

Ugh! The betting game.

"Hermes...she's an actress." taya ni Z na ang tinutukoy niya ay ang isa sa mga yate niya na pinangalanan niyang Hermes.

"A week's stay at Isla dela Vega. All expenses settled. She's a model." taya ni Drew

"Nope. Enough of your bets. I don't want to talk about it."

Umupo ako sa sofa facing them all.

Enzo suddenly snapped his fingers and gave me his i-know-who-she-is-face.

"Boys, trip to Vegas. Accomodations, hotel suite, reservations, drinks, girls, bars, you name it."

Napalingon ang lahat sa kanya.

"You're kidding." sabi ko in a threatening tone.

"This should be good. Fire it up!" si Hanz na pinagsalikop ang mga kamay niya.

Enzo grinned.

"It's just another wild guess but...yeah...this is good."

"Spit it out." si Ken na parang hindi na makapaghintay.

Enzo laughed just to prolong the agony.

Pinatagal pa niya nang kaunti ang lumipas na segundo and finally spoke.

"Alright boys. My bet is on his pretty...secretary."

Everyone was silent for a moment and then all eyes on me.

Damn you, Enzo. I'm gonna kill you.
