The Beauty in Her Song

One million moons alligned tonight
and through your eyes shone silver light,
desperate hues
and shades of night came creeping over you.
The soft glow of tombstone teeth perfectly planted in the ripped field of your smile
defy the darkness of unspoken words.
A soft melodic dirge plays its keys across her lips,
reverberates through my skull and floats among ossicles
as small oracles;
ethereal tendons connecting lives before and after.
