Ethan Chapter 5

Ethan saved me when I was being attacked by a giant spider. It was a very close call,  and it was all because of my carelessness and overestimation of my abilities. I made Ethan angry, and all he's ever done is worry about me.

We've since somehow made up, but Ethan still has the rapier he took from me. From the beginning, Ethan has been against me fighting. He says I shouldnt fight because im a woman... I know nothing about Ethan's past, I wonder if there is a secret buried there? Perhaps the reason that Ethan is so obstinately against women fighting.

It has been three days since we left the village. We've arrived at a new town.

Ray: "This is a pretty big town."

Sara: "It's a very lively place... and the people seem cheerful."

Estel: "Goods seem to be plentful, as well."

Ray: "We shouldnt have any trouble getting supples, then. Sara, when we get to the inn, ill go do all the shopping."

Sara: "That's fine, but..."

Estel: "I'll go with you. I need a new knife."

Sara: "OK, then, shall we say that after we reach the inn, everyone can have some free time?"

All three nodded in agreement.

Sara: "Look, you dont have to come with me. Im sure you have some shopping of your own to do."

Ethan: "Im going with you because I want to. Dont worry about it."

Sara: "Really...?"

Ethan: "..."

I guess he's still angry.

Ethan hasnt talked to me very much since that day I acted so stupidly.

And if I just keep apologizing it could have the opposite effect to the one desired. I just dont know what I should do.

Ethan: "Sara, you've gone right past the clothing store."

Sara: "Oh! Im sorry, I was lost in my thoughts."

With a strained smile, I bought the clothing I need for the journey.

Sara: "I guess loose clothing that's easy to move in would be best..."

Ethan: "..."

Sara: "Oh, Im sorry, Ethan. I'll be done here soon."

Ethan: "How about this?"

Sara: "Huh!?"

Ethan: "It seems as if it would suit you."

Ethan held up the clothes, measuring them against me.

Ethan: "Yes, it definitely suits you."

Sara: "..."

Ethan: "Well? What do you think?"
