Ethan Chapter 9

The dragon banked slightly.

Ethan: "We're here."

Sara: "Then..."

Ethan: "Yes. That's King Arthur's country spead out below us. The country of Logres."

When I leaned over, I could see a calm townscape.

Even though it's still far away. I can see that this is a wealthy country. It didnt seem like the kind of country whose king would take other country's belongings by force, but...

Ethan: "Sara, dont lean out too far- it's dangerous."

Sara: "Yes, you're right. Sorry."

Ethan: "Let's signal Ray and Estel, and land the dragons."

Sara: "OK, here's the signal..."

Ethan: "...Sara?"

Sara: "Hm? What?"

Ethan: "Are you sure that you want to do this?"

Sara: "Of course. That's why I've come all this way."

Ethan: "Of course."

Ethan stroked my hair.

Ethan: "Just please dont do anything foolish. If things get dangerous, leave it to us."

Sara: "Alright. I trust you... I trust you all."

Ethan smiled happily, and I returned his smile. But suddenly his expression grew serious.

Ethan: "Excalibur is important, but so are you. if you are ever in danger, promise me that you wil flee immediately."

Sara: "..."

Ethan: "Dont worry, I will get Excalibur back for you."

Sara: "Thank you, Ethan. I feel very reassured."

Ethan: "Huh? I really thought that you would say that you didnt want to flee."

Sara: "Yes, but I understand that you are only thinking of me when you ask me to do this. But if you're ever in danger, Im going to rescue you. So if that ever happens, please as for my help, OK?"

Ethan: "Hahaha! Ill be sure to call on you whenever that happens."

As we were talking, the dragons that Ray and Estel were riding gradually began losing height.

Ethan: "It looks like Ray and Estel are landing. We should go down, too."

Sara: "Yes."

As I nodded emphatically, Ethan gently embraced me.

With this warmth supporting me... I'm sure that everything will be OK.

We landed in a field slightly removed from King Arthur's Castle.

Ray: "Not surprisingly, his defenses are strong."
