Ethan Chapter 7

Ethan: "Sara."

Ethan's lips almost touched me.

The robbers might be coming, so we really shouldnt be doing this... But I cant stop. On the contrary, my heart is leaping out of my chest!

I started to close my eyes. At that moment...

Rustle!

And there was a sudden loud noise, and at the same time a light flew from a clump of bushes.

Ethan: "Wh...what was that!?"

Sara: "That light... Could have been... a fairy?"

I remember something Estel had shown me when I was a child.

Ethan: "At least it doesnt seem to be an enemy. But, what in the world...?"

Sara: "Oh, it's coming this way."

In the center of the beam of light, there was a girl wearing a dress made out of leaves. On her back, there was a pair of transparent wings. The fairy flew toward us and smiled sweetly.

Fairy: "Are you Princess Sara?"

Sara: "Yes, I am."

Fairy: "Im so glad I found you! I have a message from Estel."

Ethan: "From Estel? I didnt know elves could do that."

Sara: "I guess it's because they are the closest to nature. So, what did Estel say?"

Fairy: "He said they are waiting on the east side of the forest."

Sara: "I see, thank you."

Ethan: "Are the two of them safe?"

Fairy: "Yes, they are safe. Well, I'll be off."

Sara: "Thank you again!"

The fairy bowed once, and flew away.

Ethan: "Well, when the rain stops, we'll head east."

Sara: "The rain already seems to have stopped."

Ethan: "May be the fairy brought the sun with her."

Sara: "Haha, maybe you're right."

Ethan: "It's still sprinkling a little, but we should be OK."

I left the tree first, and Ethan followed immediately after.

Ethan: "It's a good thing the rain stopped so soon. Well, shall we go?"

Sara: "Ah, wait a minute..."

I had tried to hurry after Ethan, but I slipped in the mud.

Sara: "Oh...!"

I didnt have any strength in my body. I braced myself, and closed my eyes.
