Ethan Chapter 10

Merlin: "I must return Excalibur to King Arthur's hand... Death to all who threaten King Arthur!"

A light began to glow at the tip of Merlin's wand.

Sara: "Impossible...!?"

The light grew steadily larger.

Ethan: "Sara!"

Sara: "E...Ethan!"

The light began to extend in Ethan's direction.

Ethan, Ethan...!

Ethan: "I will protect you to the end!"

Just before the light reached him...

???: "What is this!?"

The quiet, calm voice stopped Merlin's attack.

Merlin: "O...oh, that voice..."

We turned toward the speaker.

Ethan: "King Arthur!"

Arthur: "Fast riders brought me word that something was amiss at the castle. Princess Sara, I did not think you capable of such an underhanded trick as theft."

Sara: "But you're the one who stole Excalibur first!"

Arthur: "Excalibur belongs to my country, does it not?"

King Arthur drew his sword and rushed to the attack. 

Clang!

But Ethan, still wielding Excalibur, stood before me.

Arthur: "What? Excalibur? You've already stolen it!?"

Ethan: "Excalibur belongs to Sara!"

Ethan blocked King Arthur's attack, and launched one of his own. But King Arthur recovered immediately, and returned the attack with ferocity.

Clang! Clang!

The sound of blades clashing filled the King's Chamber.

Arthur: "You're good."

Ethan: "You beat me before, but this time I will not be defeated! Now... Now I have someone to protect."

Ethan's emotions focused on Excalibur.

Ethan: "Haaaaaa!"

Arthur: "Almost! But not quite!"

Sara: "King Arthur, please stop!"

Arthur: "You're the theives, and you have the gall to tell me to stop?"

Sara: "I've told you time and again, Excalibur is the sacred sword that protects my country. If you dont believe me, I can show you proof."
