Season Two: Alec Evans

For the past three months, Dev and I have kept Lily a secret. I don't think Nic would be happy if we were seeing the girl who almost put us to jail.

"Hey, Dev? Could you take the bus after school? R will come after school but tell him I'm running some errands," I tell Dev.

"Sure," Dev says stuffing cereal into his face. Dev was a good liar. He didn't twitch like Lily did which was good.

"Okay, later kid," I say ruffling his hair.

"Bye, Alec. Don't screw things up." he winks. I roll my eyes. Once a smart kid, always a smart kid.

I leave the front door and I go to Lily's house to surprise her. When I got there, I walk up to the house with flowers in my hands. I ring the doorbell.

"Oh thank God. Just wait Fin!" I hear from inside the house. I chuckle.

"Hey-" Lily starts. "Alec? Uh, what are you doing here?"

"Surprise!" I say. "Come on, lets go."

"Oh. Uh about that," Lily says softly. All the sudden I hear crying inside Lily's house.
"Uh, Lily? Are you babysitting?" I ask. "I'll help if you want me to."

Lily smiles sadly at me. "You're so sweet. I don't deserve you."

"Wait you're not breaking up with me are you?" I say quickly.

"What? No!" Lily says. "But, I have a secret and I have dreaded this moment for a long time."

"What do you mean?" I was so confused. Lily's green eyes flash into her house as another wail sounds off.

"Come in," Lily says.

I step into the house and I breathe in. It smells like her.

"Nice place," I add. Lily mutters something in reply. Why was she acting weirdly today? She's usually poppier around me at least.

Lily walks towards a room and she puts her hand on the knob and turns to face me. "You can't be mad at me, please," Lily pleads.

"Why would I be mad at you, Lily? What is it?" I say as I loop my arms around her waist.

"Don't leave me," She whispers into my ear as she hugs me.

"Never," I say back. Lily turns to open the door and I see a little girl in the crib crying. I look over the crib.

"She's yours," I say by the look of the baby's face.

"And she's yours, Alec." I freeze. I'm a dad. I'm a father. What. the. hell.
"You hid her from me for 3 months?" I say softly.

"I was going to tell you. I promise but I wanted us to get in a good spot first and I know it was wrong-" I cut her off with a kiss and how good that felt.

I pull away from her. "I'm far beyond excited. Does Dev know?" I ask.

"Yes, but don't get mad at him. He did it for-" I kiss her again.

"Love, calm down, it's okay. I'll always love you as I will love the baby," I assure her and I kiss her forehead.

I pick the baby and cradle her in my arms. "What's her name?"

"Laneya," she answers.

"Like your note," I say remembering the box Dev gave me. "I'm sorry I wasn't there with you."

"It's okay it was technically my fault. You're here now, though," Lily answers as she looks at Laneya who has fallen asleep in my arms.

"Do your parents know that Laneya's mine?" I ask. I didn't know what to do. Lily and I couldn't mix our worlds. Even though I had convinced the guys that we should start working, I don't think Lily's dad would be happy to find out that Lily had my baby.

"No," Lily says. "But he doesn't know the identities of The Royals, surprisingly."
I put Laneya in her crib and I sit down. I pull Lily in my lap.

"What are we going to do now?" I ask. We didn't rob anymore. I could actually be with Lily but I don't think it would be okay with her family members.

"I have no idea, but I know I want to be with you," Lily says into my chest as she hugs me.
